There’s never a dull moment with Gusty around, and everyone who meets him falls head over heels for his cheeky charm and affectionate nature. He absolutely loves keeping busy, whether that’s exploring exciting new walking spots, engaging in enrichment or enjoying a spirited game of tug with his favourite people. Beneath all that enthusiasm is a sweet boy who looks to his humans for reassurance when he’s unsure, and once he feels safe and settled, his softer side shines through beautifully. Gusty adores affection and will happily soak up fuss and cuddles after a day of adventures, likely curling up beside you on the sofa as if he’s always belonged there. He’s clever, eager to learn and full of potential, and watching him grow in confidence with positive guidance will be such a rewarding journey for his future family. This lively lad is looking for an adult-only home with patient adopters who can embrace his energetic nature and continue helping him learn how to settle and switch off. Gusty will need to live in a multi-person household where there’s plenty going on and where his family can share the fun of training, enrichment and adventures with him. He can become frustrated when life doesn’t move at the speed he’d like, so having understanding owners who can guide him through those moments and provide him with his own safe “Gusty zone” for calm resets will really help him flourish. Gusty would love to be the only pet in the home, though he still enjoys socialising with other dogs out and about. He can sometimes come on a little strong when making new friends, so calm introductions and continued guidance will help him build his confidence and manners. Time left alone will need to be introduced gradually, but for the right people willing to invest in him, Gusty has all the makings of an incredibly rewarding companion.
