Adoptar a Heidi

Heidi is a loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence and work on her training. Heidi has spent some time in a temporary foster home whilst in our care and although she was a little worried when she first arrived, she soon settled in and showed her foster carers what an affectionate girl she is. Once she feels comfortable, Heidi enjoys plenty of fuss and attention from the people she trusts. She is also a big fan of soft toys and loves carrying them around and having a good play. Her foster carers found that she travelled well in the car and she has been fully housetrained in the home. Heidi can sometimes find the world a little overwhelming and when stressed or frustrated she may rag on her lead. Because of this, she is looking for owners who are committed to continuing her training and can manage this behaviour, especially as she can be strong on the lead. Heidi can also be cautious around men and may take a little time to build a bond with them. Her new owners will need to be patient and allow her to form relationships at her own pace. She has lived successfully with another dog in the past and could potentially share her new home with another dog. However, Heidi can be worried by very animated or boisterous dogs so she would be best suited to living with a calm, steady dog. Heidi loves her food and is very clever, we would advise new owners to keep her brain active and using treats will be a fun way to train her and keep her engaged. New owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet before rehoming as she does have some ongoing medical needs around her paws.
