Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.BREED: ? Setter x SEX: FemaleAGE: Aprox. 5 MonthsSIZE: Will be large when adult Holly is still in her home, we are hoping to get her another home lined up before she has to come back to DBARC 🤞Holly is a highly affectionate 5-month-old pup who is in need of re-homing as she is struggling with the daily commuting required in her current life. She is very intelligent and has had some professional puppy training to which she is responding very well. She is crate trained; house trained and happily sleeps downstairs in her crate through the night. Holly has been well socialized; she is gaining confidence and behaves well around other dogs. She has not been tested with cats. She would benefit from an environment where travelling in the car can be slowly introduced. It is with a heavy heart that she is being rehomed as she is such an affectionate and calm puppy. When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs. Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
