Sadly, when her family decided to move home, they chose not to take her with them and instead brought her to a veterinary clinic to be euthanised. Despite being an older dog, she has a playful, puppy-like spirit and is full of character. She absolutely adores people, thrives on affection and is a joy to handle. She is cooperative and gentle with both her carers and veterinarians. Ira forms strong bonds with those she knows and loves being included in daily life and activities. Ira walks well on the lead but is a strong girl, so she will need a confident and experienced handler who can continue guiding her positively. She enjoys playtime and engagement but can become a little enthusiastic, which is why she would be best suited to homes with older children who understand and respect dogs’ boundaries.
