A JJ le encanta jugar, lo cual es una excelente manera de conectar con él: especialmente le encantan los oso de peluche y los juguetes que hacen ruido. Siendo un Collie, es un chico inteligente y ya conoce algunas trucos y disfruta aprender. JJ ha pasado un corto período en un hogar y estaba entrenado para hacer sus necesidades afuera y podría quedarse solo hasta por una hora, aunque esto deberá aumentarse gradualmente nuevamente. Le beneficiaría tener un espacio tranquilo propio, como una jaula, donde pueda relajarse cuando se sienta abrumado. A JJ le puede resultar estresante el manejo y situaciones como las visitas al veterinario, por lo tanto necesitará llevar mordaza en estos casos. Puede ser indeciso alrededor de otros perros, por lo tanto beneficiaría con más socialización, y necesitará un hogar donde sea el único animal doméstico. También busca un hogar solo para adultos. JJ necesitará un jardín seguro con vallas altas y sin perros vecinos.

JJ would thrive in a patient home that will give him time to settle, help him build his confidence, and continue bringing out the lovely dog we know he can be. With kindness, understanding, and plenty of toys, JJ has the potential to become a truly loyal and rewarding companion. JJ is a handsome 1-year-old Collie who does have a sensitive side, but once he feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and loves being around his people. JJ loves to play which is a great way to bond with him—he especially loves teddies and squeaky toys! Being a Collie he is a clever boy, and he already knows some tricks and enjoys learning. JJ has spent a short amount of time in a home and was housetrained and could be left for up to an hour, though this will need to be built up gradually again. He would benefit from having a quiet space of his own, such as a crate, where he can relax when feeling overwhelmed. JJ can find handling and situations like vet visits stressful, so he will need to be muzzled for these. He can be unsure around other dogs so would benefit from further socialisation, and will need a home where he is the only pet. He is also looking for an adult only home. JJ will need a secure garden with high fencing and no neighbouring dogs.
