Korra is not a soft, timid dog who quietly fades into the background. She is bold, confident, and carries herself with the kind of self assurance that immediately stands out. Around other dogs, she very much likes to be the one in control and naturally attempts to take on the role of leader. She is dominant in her interactions with other dogs and does not enjoy feeling challenged or uncertain in social situations. Because of this, Korra will need an experienced and realistic home that understands strong personalities and is capable of managing her appropriately. Future adopters should not expect a naturally easygoing dog park type personality. Korra is the sort of dog who benefits from structure, boundaries, clear guidance, and calm leadership from the humans around her. She can also be physically strong on lead and does pull during walks, especially when excited or stimulated by her environment. Continued lead training and consistent handling will be very important for her, particularly because of her size and strength. She would benefit from an adopter who feels physically confident handling a large dog and who is willing to continue working on her manners and impulse control. With humans, however, Korra is a very different dog. She is social, affectionate in her own way, and genuinely enjoys human interaction. She seeks attention comfortably and forms bonds well with people. Dogs like Korra often thrive when they have a strong connection with their humans and feel secure in their environment.
