Layla es un cruzado de tres años de edad, muy vivaz y con mucha ganas de vivir, buscando un hogar activo que pueda igualar su energía. Le encantaría vivir con una familia que disfrute de largos paseos, explorar nuevos lugares y darle mucha ejercicio diario. Un hogar con acceso a un jardín seguro sería lo ideal, donde Layla pueda estirar las patas y continuar con su rutina de entrenamiento para no hacer sus necesidades en casa. Está dispuesta a saludar y hacer amigos con otros perros por ahí y ha estado sin correa con un amigo labrador aquí en Oak Tree. Layla no ha tenido la mejor de las suertes durante su tiempo en jaula y nunca ha tenido el tiempo suficiente para adaptarse correctamente una vez en un nuevo hogar. Es muy orientada a la comida, lo cual es muy beneficioso para el entrenamiento. Una vez adaptada, se puede dejar hasta 5 horas. A su nueva familia se le aconseja tomar las cosas con calma al principio y tener un área separada en el hogar para que se vaya adaptando, ya que ha sido asustada en varias ocasiones cuando estaba en su cama y en el sofá. Necesita alguien que entienda que es muy tímida con que le toquen las patas y necesitará tiempo para adaptarse sin presión. Es inteligente y sabe sentarse, acostarse, dar la pata y tiene un buen recall en un corral seguro. Fuera, en sus paseos, como se espera de un Spaniel, le gusta meterse en todo, ir en todas direcciones, es muy activa con una cola que nunca deja de moverse. Layla necesitará estimulación y ejercicio en casa, por lo tanto una familia activa es preferible. Queremos que vaya en acogida con la intención de adopción primero, para que nuestro equipo de entrenamiento ayude a Layla con la transición desde la jaula a un nuevo hogar con algunas visitas y comprobaciones hasta que sintamos que está lista para ser adoptada.

Layla is a lively three-year-old crossbreed with a big zest for life, looking for an active home that can match her energy. She would love living with a family who enjoy getting out for long walks, exploring new places, and giving her plenty of daily exercise. A home with access to a secure garden would be best, where Layla can stretch her legs and continue her house-training routine. She is happy to say hello and make friends with dogs out and about and has mixed off lead with a Labrador friend here at Oak Tree. Layla hasn’t had the best of luck during her time in kennels and has never been given the time to settle properly once in a new home. She is very food orientated which is very beneficial with training. Layla can be left up to 5 hours once settled into a new routine. Her new family would be advised to take things slowly with her at first and have a separate area in the home for her to settle as she has been startled a couple of times when in her bed and on the sofa. She needs someone who understands that she is very hesitant with her paws being touched and will need time to settle and adapt without pressure. She is clever and is knows sit, down , paw and has a good recall in a secure paddock. Out and about on her walks, as you’d expect from a Spaniel, she likes to be into everything, going in every direction, she’s super busy with a tail that never stops. Layla will need enrichment and exercise in the home, so an active family is preferable. We would like her to go on foster with view to adopt first, to allow our training team to support Layla with the transition from kennels to a new home with a couple of visits and check ins until we feel she is ready to be adopted.
