Puede estar sola unas horas: Lexi ama la compañía pero puede estar sola durante 2 o 3 horas, espera pacientemente junto a la puerta. No querría vivir en un hogar donde estuviera sola todo el día. Buena con otros perros: Lexi se lleva bien con otros perros en casa y cuando salen a caminar. Ha vivido con otra perra hembra anteriormente y fue bien, pero el dueño dijo que a veces los dos perros se molestaban mutuamente. Si Lexi compartiera su hogar con otro perro, un macho mayor tranquilo y silencioso podría ser una buena combinación. No acostumbrada a gatos: Buscamos un hogar sin gatos para Lexi ya que parece que no le gustan. Buena con niños: Lexi vivió con niños y fue buena con ellos, pero no le gusta el juego brusco. Sería adecuada para vivir con niños mayores, amables y sensatos. Disposición para dormir: Lexi duerme en la habitación de su cuidador de acogida, en el suelo en su propia cama. Suele dormir hasta alrededor de las 6:00 am cuando quiere salir al jardín. Luego vuelve a la cama por una hora o así. Un placer pasear: Lexi se comporta muy bien en los paseos. Los pasatiempos favoritos de Lexi: Juega con una pelota y le gusta buscar; también le gustan los juegos de búsqueda y dormir. Lo que le desagrada a Lexi: No le gustan los fuertes ruidos. Hogar ideal para Lexi: Le encantaría vivir con personas activas que la lleven a lugares divertidos para tener buenos paseos diarios, pero también pasar mucho tiempo de calidad con ella en casa. Personas retiradas activas serían perfectas para ella. Su nuevo hogar debe tener su propio jardín para que Lexi pueda salir para su visita matutina y también disfrutar de relajarse durante el día. Notas de salud: Lexi está castrada, vacunada y microchipada. Ha recibido tratamiento contra pulgas y gusanos. En su revisión veterinaria se la consideró muy sana para una perra de su edad. A veces tiene un poco de rigidez en su trasero, pero parece haber mejorado con su rutina actual de ejercicio. Mide aproximadamente 18" de alto y pesa 20 kg. Lexi is a gorgeous 11-year-old Border Collie girl who came into rescue due to her owners' newborn's health conditions. Lexi is in an Oldies Club foster home in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, waiting for someone to offer her a wonderful permanent home. Summary: Please form an orderly queue for Lexi Good Girl! This stunningly beautiful girl is surely any collie-lover's dream. She is a very gentle and loving dog who gets on well with everyone – except cats! She'd love a home with active people who will spend plenty of time with her. A good girl in foster: Lexi settled in within a week and has been a dream foster dog. She is clean in the home, and she doesn't jump on furniture unless invited to. Can be left for a few hours: Lexi loves to have your companionship but is she is fine to be left alone for 2 or 3 hours – she waits patiently by the door. She wouldn't want to live in home where she would be left all day. Good with dogs: Lexi gets on well with other dogs in the home and when out on walks. She has lived with another female dog previously, and was fine, but their owner said the two dogs seemed to get on each other's nerves sometimes. If Lexi was to share her home with another dog, a calm and quiet older male dog might be a good fit. Not used to cats: We are looking for a cat-free home for Lexi as she doesn't seem to like them. Good with children: Lexi used to live with children and was good with them, but she doesn't like rough play. She should be fine to live with older, kind and sensible children though. Sleeping arrangements: Lexi sleeps in her foster carer's bedroom, on the floor in her own bed. She sleeps through, usually until around 6:00am when she wants to go out to the garden. She then goes back to bed for an hour or so. A pleasure to walk: Lexi is very well-behaved on walks. She walks well on the lead and is not worried by traffic. She has good recall and loves a walk in the woods or the park. She's currently walking for a mile or two in the morning and then having a couple of shorter walks later in the day. Good in the car: Yes, she is! Lexi's favourite pastimes: She plays with a ball and she likes seeking; also snuffle mats and sleeping. Lexi's dislikes: She doesn't like loud bangs. Lexi's ideal home: She would love to live with active people who will take her to fun places to have good daily walks, but also spend plenty of quality time with her at home. Active retired people would be perfect for her. Her new home must have its own garden so that Lexi can be let out for her early morning toilet break, and also enjoy relaxing during the day. Health notes: Lexi is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. She has been flea and worm treated. At her vet check she was said to be in very good health for a dog of her age. She is sometimes a little stiff on her rear end, but this seems to have improved with her current exercise routine. She is about 18″ tall and weighs 20kg. Lexi's foster carers told us: Lexi is gentle, well-behaved and loving. She is very loyal and will make a wonderful companion and a brilliant friend for her new owner(s).
