Maeve es uno de esos perros que rompería tu corazón. Llegó al refugio con puntos de sutura caseros aún en la piel y todavía con leche para sus cachorros pero sin ningún cachorro. Estaba totalmente traumatizada. También tenía varias heridas, piel irritada e infectada y dientes rotos. Ella no había tenido una vida fácil. Desde que llegó a A Dog's Life se ha recuperado completamente física y ahora está en buenas condiciones. Nuestros veterinarios creen que tiene unos 8 años. Es muy dulce y gentil. Su madre de acogida dice que, habiendo pasado por tanto, es maravilloso ver que su lado travieso y divertido empieza a salir a la superficie cuando pasa volando con un calcetín robado o su favorito, un guante - ama el dedo pulgar! Le encanta su Kong y comida, mucha comida y es muy agradecida con los premios. Su actuación "estoy triste" es conmovedora y digna de un Oscar. Creo que necesitará paciencia continua y ayuda para construir confianza para dejar atrás su pasado. Maeve se lleva muy bien con los otros perros y se acurrucará con uno cálido. Probablemente sea mejor con un perro más tranquilo o al menos uno que no sea demasiado saltarín y hiperactivo. Un tipo así podría ser un poco abrumador y afectar su confianza. Idealmente necesita un hogar donde tenga compañía la mayor parte del tiempo y también funcionaría bien con otro perro como compañía. Maeve ama pasear y explorar. Está entrenada para la jaula y para hacer sus necesidades dentro de casa. Le encanta estar ocupada en el jardín... buscando criaturas que invadan o tesoros. Está esterilizada, vacunada completamente y con microchip.

Maeve is one of those dogs that would break your heart. She arrived into the pound with Caserean stitches still in and still with milk for her babies but no pups. She was totally traumatised. She also had a number of wounds, itchy infected skin and broken teeth. She had not had an easy life. Since coming to A Dog's life she has recovered fully physically and is now in good condition. Our vets reckon she is about 8 years old. She is very sweet and gentle. Her foster mum says that having been through so much it is been great to see her mischievous and fun side emerge as she flys by with a stolen sock or her favourite, a glove - loves a thumb! She loves her Kong and food, lots of it and is soo grateful for treats! Her 'I'm sad' performance is heart melting and worthy of an Oscar! I think she will need ongoing patience and help with confidence building to finally leave her past behind. Maeve gets on really well with the other dogs and will cuddle up with a warm one! Probably best with a calmer dog or at least one that isn't overly bouncy and hyper. A guy like that might be a bit overwhelming and knock her confidence. Ideally she needs a home where she will have company most of the time and would do well with another dog for company too.. Maeve loves walks and investigating. She is crate trained and house trained. She loves to be busy around the garden.... searching for trespassing creatures or treasure. She is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
