I’m a confident, vocal girl who is looking for a safe forever home Hey everyone, my name is Margot. I was brought to the sanctuary by a member of the public after being found shut inside a carrier behind some shops! The sanctuary had no space at the time but knew that I needed help so they took me in to keep me safe. Sadly, I didn’t have a microchip so there was no way of tracing my owners and no one got in contact in search of me. It could only be assumed that I had been abandoned behind those shops, but unfortunately the humans will never know the true story. All I know is that I was very confused and wasn’t sure what was happening. I was a tiny bit hissy and growly at first but this was only because I was scared. After a few days, I settled right in and showed my true self- a gentle, loving, friendly girly who just needed to know that I could trust these new humans, after being let down by others.I wasn’t neutered when I arrived here so my carer booked me in to be spayed ASAP in case I was pregnant, as I was only young. Thankfully I wasn’t pregnant or if I was then it was very early stages. I have now also had my vaccinations done and am ready to find my forever family. I am a lovely girl and although I put on a confident front, I am sensitive and can be a little wary initially until I trust you. I wish I could tell the humans my story, but if I’m honest I would like to put it all behind me and continue on my journey into my new life. I really hope I find my forever home soon, with caring humans who will never leave me. Could you promise me that? I am looking for a loving home where I can relax and know that I am safe. I really am not asking for much, just a family who loves me and a home to call my own. I was left outside at the beginning of summer, but with winter coming, hopefully I will have my own cosy bed to sleep in and lots of warm radiators to keep me toasty. I don’t really remember Christmas last year, but maybe this year I may even get my own present or two?As I am such a loving girl, I could live with children, but perhaps not a really busy household with lots of young children as this may be too much for me. One or two children will be fine though, I think I would love curling up for cuddles with mini humans and growing up together with them.I have shown here at the sanctuary that I really am not a fan of other cats at all. In fact, I am scared of them. I try to make myself scary by hissing and growling but they do scare me, and I become really stressed when I see another cat! My carer thinks that this might be because I have had bad experiences with cats in the past, perhaps being chased by scary tom cats because I wasn’t neutered. Due to this and my wariness around other cats, I would prefer to be the only cat in my home. I would prefer not to live with dogs either as I haven’t had much experience with them and they also scare me a little. In my new home, I would like to have my own garden to explore and maybe enjoy little adventures. I will however need to be kept indoors while I settle in and get to know my new family. I could also live happily as an indoor only cat, but will need lots of toys, cat furniture etc to keep my mind stimulated and enriched.
