Her owner was a supporter of the rescue and had wished that we would take her in and find her a home in this situation. Millie is a wonderful girl. She is quite shy and uncertain how to feel about being in the shelter. Despite this, she shows lots of signs that she does really want to interact. On coming into shelter, she has been weighed and is on the heavier side. Due to this, she will do best on special dietary food or on smaller food portions. We recommend that her weight is recorded and monitored by her adopter’s vets shortly after adoption in order to help her reach her ideal size. Millie has lived primarily as an indoor cat so she could go to an indoor only home or to a home with outdoor access. We do not have much history on Millie so we aren’t sure how she feels about other cats. She may be able to live with another cat given careful introductions. As she is quite shy, she would do best in a home with no kids or kids who are quiet and cat-savvy. Millie would also do best in a home with no dogs.
