She grew up in a loving environment with a West Highland Terrier and a cat. Shortly before her third birthday, her sister - who lost her home in the Black Forest for family reasons - moved in with us. A confident senior Today Mirzel is ten years old. Looking back on her life, it is fascinating to see how she has developed from a curious young dog to a confident personality with clear ideas. This process was steady: From her second year onwards, it became clear that she sees the world differently than many of her kind. She became more independent and selective in her social contacts. Especially in the last twelve months, this development has solidified: Mirzel is today a "loner" by conviction. She no longer needs to be part of a pack or get along with other dogs. On the contrary: She has a need to keep control of her territory. She wants to make sure that everything runs smoothly, as this gives her the necessary security and peace. Why she needs a new home What may seem like "strictness" to outsiders is a sign of maturity for Mirzel. Unfortunately, it has become clear that she no longer accepts the social dynamics of living with other animals. There are always serious conflicts with her sister, which is why a separation is inevitable. Mirzel wants to be the "boss" in her new home, who has everything under control, without having to deal with other dogs. A house with a fenced garden would be ideal for her. * Care: Mirzel is very cooperative. Brushing her teeth, brushing her coat, cleaning her ears and removing ticks are no problem for her. Hier wuchs sie in einer liebevollen Umgebung gemeinsam mit einem West Highland Terrier und einer Katze auf. Wenn man auf ihr Leben zurückblickt, ist es faszinierend zu sehen, wie sie sich von einem neugierigen Junghund zu einer souveränen Persönlichkeit mit ganz klaren Vorstellungen entwickelt hat. Dieser Prozess verlief stetig: Schon ab ihrem zweiten Lebensjahr zeichnete sich ab, dass sie die Welt mit anderen Augen sieht als viele ihrer Artgenossen. Sie wurde eigenständiger und wählerischer bei ihren sozialen Kontakten. Besonders in den letzten zwölf Monaten hat sich diese Entwicklung gefestigt: Mirzel ist heute ein „Einzelgänger“ aus Überzeugung. Sie hat kein Bedürfnis mehr danach, Teil eines Rudels zu sein oder sich mit anderen Hunden zu arrangieren. Im Gegenteil: Sie hat das Bedürfnis, die Kontrolle über ihr Revier zu behalten. Sie ist kein Angsthund, sollte jedoch bei Gewitter oder an Silvester nicht alleine gelassen werden. * Aktivitäten: Lange Wanderungen sind für sie nicht mehr das Richtige; sie genießt kurze, entspannte Schnüffelspaziergänge. * Alltag: Sie ist leinen führig, fährt problemlos Auto und liebt die ländliche Umgebung. Da ihr seidiges Fell stark wächst, ist ein Besuch beim Hundefriseur alle 12 Wochen notwendig.
