Microchipped: Yes Monica's life has been one of survival. For a very long time she wandered the streets alone, growing older, weaker and more fragile. She spent much of her time lying down, too tired to keep going, making her an easy target for the dog catchers. When we finally rescued her, she was exhausted and in desperate need of help. Monica is estimated to be around 11 years old at time of rescue. She arrived with wounds across her body and her coat so badly matted that it had to be clipped away. She is painfully thin, very weak and can barely walk, but she is finally somewhere safe where she can begin to recover. For the first time in what must feel like forever, Monica has a warm bed, regular meals and people looking after her.
