Programamos una operación para eliminar el bulto y una biopsia. Lamentablemente, es cáncer y se ha extendido a sus ganglios linfáticos. Nuestros veterinarios estiman que tiene 9-12 meses, esta es solo una estimación y ella podría empeorar antes o durar mucho más. Estamos buscando un hogar que esté dispuesto a tener a ambas chicas - para tener a Skittles como cuidadora paliativa y adoptar a Nibbles y mantenerla después de que su hermana haya fallecido. Sabemos que esto es un prospecto difícil y muy emocional para alguien pero es una hermosa acción para un gato en necesidad. Ambas son muy dulces y aman meter su nariz en todo, dan muchos parpadeos lentos y nos hacen reír con sus tonterías. Estamos rotos porque la vida de Skittles será corta pero queremos que tenga el amor y el confort de un hogar durante todo el tiempo que pueda. Idealmente el hogar no tendría otros mascotas pero consideraremos un hogar con otros gatos que puedan ser introducidos lentamente. Ellos estarán bien con niños que entiendan de gatos. We scheduled an operation to remove the lump and biopsy. Unfortunately, it is and has spread to her lymph nodes. Our vets have estimated she has 9-12 months – this is just an estimate and she could decline earlier or last much longer. We are looking for a home that is willing to have both girls – to have Skittles as a paliative foster and to adopt Nibbles and keep her after her sister has passed. We know that this is a difficult and very emotional prospect for someone but it is a beautiful thing to do for a cat in need. They are both very sweet girls who love to nose into everything, give lots of slow blinks and make us laugh with their daft antics. We are heartbroken that Skittles’ life will be cut short but we want her to have the love and comfort of a home for all the time she can. Ideally the home would have no other pets but we will consider a home with other cats that can be slowly introduced. They will be fine with cat-savvy children.
