¡Hola! Somos Noah y Percy. Somos una pareja unida que ha vivido juntos durante muchos años. Noah es un loro amazónico de cabeza amarilla doble y Percy es un cotorro de sombrilla. Hemos estado con nuestros dueños actuales hace 6 años y medio. Ambos son pájaros muy dulces y no son un problema de cuidado. Todos viven libres en una gran habitación para aves con otros loros y tienen acceso a un aviario exterior. A Noah le gustan tanto a hombres como a mujeres, mientras que Percy es un pájaro de una sola persona. (actualmente femenino) Historia/antecedentes: Fuimos adoptados anteriormente por Problem Parrots, pero debido a un cambio de circunstancias tuvimos que regresar a la organización benéfica, sin culpa de su parte. Entrenamiento: Ambos podrían beneficiarse del entrenamiento. Percy subirá a tu pecho para abrazos, pero no subirá a tus brazos. Noah subirá una vez que confíe en ti y permitirá que le des cosquillas. A Noah le sería muy beneficioso el entrenamiento con arnés, ya que ama al aire libre y creemos que esto podría lograrse. Alimentación: Noah come una variedad de frutas y vegetales, junto con una mezcla baja de semillas de girasol. Sin embargo, Percy no toca ningún alimento fresco, a pesar de intentar continuamente durante años para que incluso lo probara. Esto podría trabajarse. Hi! We are Noah and Percy. We are a bonded pair, who have lived with each other for many years. Noah, is a double yellow headed Amazon and Percy is an umbrella cockatoo. We have been with our current owners for 6 and half years. Both are very sweet birds and are no bother to care for. All live freely in a large bird room with other parrots and have access to an outside aviary. Noah loves both men and women, while Percy is a one person bird. (currently female) History/Background: We were previously adopted by Problem Parrots, but due to a change of circumstances have had to return to the charity, through no fault of their own. Training: Both could benefit from training. Percy will step onto your chest for cuddles but will not step onto your arms. Noah will step up once he trusts you and he will allow you to give him tickles. Noah would really benefit from harness training as he loves the outdoors and believe this could be achievable. Diet: Noah eats a variety of fruit and vegetables, along with a low sunflower seed mix. Percy however will not touch any fresh food despite continually trying for years to even get him to try it. So this could be worked on. Enrichment: Percy loves nothing more that chewing wood. He will spend all day doing this while Noah looks o n to supervise. Noah loves to spend his time in the outside aviary in the sunshine unlike Percy who will not venture out as he prefers to chew wood in the bird room. Summary: They would suit a home where they are free to go about their day, ideally in a bird room with access to an outside aviary for Noah. Percy does love a cuddle and will snuggle in a blanket n your knee, but Noah can get jealous easily and will try to stop you from giving Percy attention. Once you gain Noah's trust, he does allow you to spend time with Percy. Noah loves attention and will chat away all day to you if he could. Percy can be noisy for around half hour before bedtime, but apart from that, you usually don't hear a peep from either of them as they are too busy chewing wood or playing with toys. They are easy to care for. They are not needy birds but do love to interact with you. All in all, both are really sweet birds, but do need to be kept busy with lots of toys and wood to chew.
