Patch puede ser tímido y sería mejor que viviera con un niño de edad escolar más responsable que entienda que puede necesitar tiempo y espacio para adaptarse antes de estar listo para hacer amigos. Debería estar bien para adaptarse a una esquina tranquila de la casa siempre que tenga muchos lugares cómodos para esconderse si se siente asustado. Meet our sweet, crazy boy Patch the Mali cross! Patch is a bundle of energy that arrived at Battersea with not much exposure to the big wide world! He has smashed all of his training that's taken place with us out of the park (as well as in the local park!), showing daily improvements and all his handlers on site are very proud of him! Patch is a very intelligent boy and lives for all things toy play. His favourites being raggers, tennis balls, flirt-poles and running water. Patch loves a sprinkler, a fountain and a hose, he's practically an unpaid gardener. As a Mali cross he needs a lot of physical exercise so on top of all this play he loves a long walk where he can get his nose down. He is looking for a home in a quieter location with access to a private garden where he can run free! Patch is learning how to walk on lead and is quite a strong boy. He can be vocal towards other dogs when on lead but hasn't shown any malice when greeting them - just very full on! He is looking for strong, experienced dog owners who can continue his ongoing lead walking training. Patch has been friendly and excitable with everyone he has met on site. Although he can be a little worried of his walking equipment and more formal handling, Patch does actually enjoy a good fuss, especially around the back of his neck. Patch really wants to interact with other dogs, however, his big love for them can come across as quite rude. He is a lot on lead, quite vocal, can get a little pawsy and needs to learn how to appropriately interact with dogs offlead. He'll need new owners who are confident in handling a vocal boy that can be quite animated and a little rude when saying hello to other dogs. New owners should see Patch as a project dog. He will be a lot of work but will be so rewarding for the right experienced, dedicated home. Behind all that energy is an absolute love bug who loves his people, a fuss and all the toys.
