Meet Patty, the pretty lurcher looking for her forever home. Patty is a gentle, affectionate girl who, along with her sister, hasn’t had the easiest start in life. While she loves people, she has had limited exposure to the wider world and can become nervous in unfamiliar situations. However, Patty is gaining confidence every day and is already showing that she is ready to embrace new experiences with the right support and encouragement. Because of this, Patty is looking for a special home with experienced owners who can help her continue to build her confidence at her own pace. A calm, confident resident dog is essential, as Patty gains confidence from other dogs and will benefit greatly from having a role model to show her the ropes. Due to her needing to build confidence, Patty is looking for a home with older children only, who can understand and respect her need for patience, space, and a calm environment. Patty is food-motivated, eager to please with patience, understanding, and positive training, she has all the potential to blossom into a confident and happy dog. We are seeking a foster-to-adopt home, allowing us to remain closely involved with her progress. Additional guidance and resources will be available to help ensure both Patty and her new family succeed.
