Un 5º aniversario – en realidad es una gran razón para celebrar y estar felices, ¿no? 🤔 Pero también hay "aniversarios" que simplemente te hacen profundamente triste. Así como el "aniversario" que nuestro PIRATA acaba de completar – y eso ciertamente no es una razón para celebrar. Porque Pirata tuvo el 14 de mayo su "5º aniversario" con nosotros en el refugio animal de Calvià 😢. 5 años en un refugio animal – realmente inimaginable, ¿verdad? Pero lamentablemente es completamente cierto. Pirata – nuestro gran perro mestizo Shar Pei, quien ahora tiene aproximadamente 9 años; llegó hace 5 años del Perrera Calvià . También tuvo que pasar varios meses largos allí. Y otra vez y otra vez buscamos explicaciones para esto. ¿Cuál es la razón? A veces tenemos la sensación de que los perros que están en refugios animales o perreras durante mucho tiempo simplemente ya no son realmente notados. ¿Tal vez la gente tenga miedo de que estos perros estén demasiado moldeados y ya no puedan llevar una vida normal? Pero no es así. Por supuesto, los perros de bienestar animal con un largo historial a menudo necesitan comprensión especial, mucho tiempo y paciencia y, si es posible, personas experimentadas a su lado que no exijan demasiado de ellos y simplemente les den su oportunidad. Pero especialmente estos perros quieren tanto su propia familia – su propio hogar seguro – para llegar finalmente a un lugar para siempre. Nuestro Pirata es tal tipo especial – un chico divertido – un chico cariñoso – un chico tierno – un chico juguetón. Pero a veces también es un "poco" chico desobediente – un perro terco y muy a menudo simplemente un chico profundamente triste. No se puede ni contar cuántos otros perros ha visto llegar y marcharse aquí. Cuántas noches frías de invierno, días calurosos de verano y especialmente cuántas horas, días, semanas, meses solos 😞. Pirata nunca tuvo una oportunidad para una vida real. Por supuesto, hay algunas cosas que debes considerar al considerar darle una oportunidad para vivir. Así que su familia debe vivir definitivamente en un área residencial tranquila y también absolutamente con un jardín y debe ser experimentada con perros. Y como Pirata lleva muchos años viviendo solo, quizás también debería permitirse vivir como un solo perro, especialmente en los primeros días – para aprender gradualmente a contactar con otros perros nuevamente. Hay ciertamente algunos perros, o mejor dicho especialmente hembras, que le encantan mucho. Debido a que la socialización ha caído por el camino en el transcurso de estos muchos años, simplemente hay que ir con cuidado. Desde su nacimiento, Pirata ha tenido una discapacidad visual, especialmente en su ojo derecho. Aún ve bastante, pero no tanto como otros perros – y por lo tanto simplemente debe tener la oportunidad de acostumbrarse lentamente a ciertas cosas y percibirlas. En el transcurso de todos estos años, Pirata se ha vuelto más tranquilo y "más estable", por supuesto también debido a su edad. Necesita un poco de tiempo con extraños para conocerlos y construir confianza – y simplemente hay que dárselo. Y cuando ha encontrado la confianza, es simplemente lo que ya escribimos anteriormente: un chico muy especial y excelente❤️. Y este chico ahora, después de increíbles cinco años, está buscando intensamente a su persona adecuada 💪❤️🍀. Por favor, comparta nuestra búsqueda tantas veces como sea posible – en algún lugar ahí afuera habrá exactamente la persona que Pirata ha estado esperando durante tantos años – ¡y absolutamente debemos encontrarla ahora!!️

A 5th anniversary – actually that’s a great reason to celebrate and be happy, isn’t it 🤔? But there are also “anniversaries” that just make you incredibly sad. As well as the “anniversary” that our PIRATA has just finished – and that is certainly no reason to celebrate . Because Pirata had on the 14th of May his “5th anniversary” with us in the animal shelter in Calvià 😢. 5 years of animal shelter – actually unimaginable, right? But unfortunately it is fully true. Pirata – our great Shar Pey mixed breed male, who is now approx. 9 years old; he came 5! years ago from the Perrera Calvià . He has also had to spend a few long months there. And again and again we are looking for explanations for this. What is the reason for this? Sometimes we have the feeling that the dogs that sit in animal shelters or perreras for a long time are simply not really noticed anymore. That people may be afraid that these dogs are too much shaped and can no longer engo in a normal life? But it’s not like that. Of course, animal welfare dogs with a longer history often need special understanding, a lot of time and patience and, if possible, experienced people at their side who do not demand too much of them and simply give them their chance. But especially these dogs want so much their own family – their own safe home – to finally arrive somewhere forever. Our Pirata is such a special guy – a funny guy – an affectionate guy – a cuddly guy – a playful guy. But sometimes he is also a “bit” moousy guy – a stubborn guy and very often just an incredibly sad guy. You can’t even count how many other dogs he has seen to come and go here. How many freezing winter nights, red-hot summer days and especially how many lonely hours, days, weeks, months 😞. Pirata had never a chance for a real life. Of course, you should consider some things when considering giving him a chance at life. So his family should definitely live in a quiet residential area and also absolutely with a garden and should be experienced with dogs. And since Pirata has been living mostly alone for so many years now, he should perhaps also be allowed to live as a single dog, especially in the early days – in order to gradually learn the contact with other dogs again. There are certainly some dogs, or let’s say especially bitches, which he really loves. Since socialisation has unfortunately fallen by the wayside in the course of these many years, you should just take it slow. Since birth, Pirata has had a visual impairment, especially on his right eye. He still sees a lot, but not as much as other dogs – and so he simply has to have the chance to slowly get used to certain things and perceive them. In the course of all these years, Pirata has become calmer and “more “set”, of course also due to age. He needs a little time with strangers to get to know each other and to build trust – and you should just give it to him. And when he has found the trust, he is just what we already wrote above: a very special and great guy❤️. And this guy is now, after incredible five years, again intensively looking for his suitable person 💪❤️🍀. Please share our search as often as possible – somewhere out there will be exactly the person our Pirata has been waiting for so many years now – and we absolutely have to find it now!!️
