Clyde, a rough coated jack russel, was born in January 2018 and has overcome a painful start to his rescue journey. He arrived very lame and struggled with significant pain and with sore red skin. His skin was sorted with just routine treatments. Our veterinary team investigated the problem and recommended surgery on one of his back legs. Clyde then completed 12 weeks of careful rehabilitation. He faced every stage with patience and won everyone over. His strength and movement improved steadily during that time. He was a treasure tolerating all his physiotherapy. Today, Clyde has returned to full health and enjoys life again. He is one of the nicest boys you could meet. Clyde loves people and greets them with enthusiasm. He also gets along well with other dogs. His friendly, tolerant nature makes him wonderful company. He enjoys affection, companionship, and sharing everyday life with those around him. Clyde needs plenty of regular walks to keep him happy and healthy. However, his family should avoid overexercising him. Balanced activity will help protect his joints while keeping him fit. He may develop some arthritis as he grows older. At present, his veterinary team does not anticipate any other issues. Clyde could live with a calm, older dog after suitable introductions. He would especially love a home where someone can offer regular company. His adopters should enjoy walking, cuddles, and including him in family life.
