Roxy llegó a nosotros por ninguna culpa propia después de que su dueño tristemente falleciera. Ella ha manejado este gran cambio con facilidad y ha saludado a todos aquí con la misma amabilidad abierta y amistosa, como si hubiera decidido que la mejor forma de seguir adelante es simplemente hacer más amigos. Y los amigos son muy importantes para Roxy. Es una Staffordshire clásicamente amable, a todo el mundo le da la bienvenida, a todo el mundo le encanta, y si tienes manos disponibles para acariciar, aún mejor. Los juguetes están bien, pero lo que más le gusta es la gente y ser el centro de su atención. Necesitará alguien amable pero comprometido, alguien que pueda resistir sus tácticas altamente pulidas para negociar comida. Tenga cuidado, Roxy puede mirarte como si nunca hubiera comido una comida en su vida. Esto es teatro. Teatro digno de un premio. Ha sido maravillosamente no reactiva con cada perro que ha cruzado, pero como no sabemos si ha vivido con otro perro, creemos que quizás sea más feliz como el único animal doméstico, principalmente porque Roxy parece tener cierta afición por la idea de que todo el amor, admiración y espacio en el sofá debería pertenecer exclusivamente a ella.

Roxy came to us through no fault of her own after her owner sadly passed away. She’s taken this huge change in her stride and has met everyone here with the same open-hearted friendliness, as if she’s decided the best way forward is simply to make more friends. And friends are very much Roxy’s thing. She is your classic lovely Staffy, everybody is welcome, everybody is adored, and if you have hands available for stroking, even better. Toys are all well and good, but her true favourite thing is people and being the centre of their attention. She’ll need someone kind but committed, someone who can withstand her highly polished snack negotiation tactics. Be warned Roxy can look at you as though she has never eaten a meal in her life. This is theatre. Award-worthy theatre. She’s been wonderfully non-reactive with every dog she’s passed, but as we don’t know whether she’s ever lived with another dog, we think she may be happiest as the only pet, mainly because Roxy seems rather fond of the idea that all love, admiration, and sofa space should belong exclusively to her.
