Saba fue rescatada de una terrible situación de acaparamiento, donde muchos animales vivían entre montañas de basura, encerrados. Cuando Saba y todos los animales fueron rescatados y llegaron por primera vez a nosotros, ella no estaba bien socializada con las personas, lógicamente, ya que había vivido separada del mundo exterior. También estaba físicamente en mal estado, muy obesa y apenas se movía. Ahora, meses más tarde, está haciendo muy bien, su pelaje es largo, abultado y bello. Saba ahora ama salir a pasear con voluntarios y correr en los parques, tanto como sus viejas articulaciones, que habían sido ignoradas durante mucho tiempo, lo permiten. El pasado deja sus cicatrices, y Saba aún es un poco insegura, pero ahora se ablanda rápidamente y se ha convertido en una perra mayor que necesita sentirse vista y amada. A veces aún la vemos ansiosa, ladrando al cielo durante un momento, o cuando te detienes en el paseo, se vuelve impaciente, como si tuviera inseguridad sobre lo que ahora se espera de ella. Todo lo que necesita es comprensión, alguien que la guíe, y muchísimo amor y compañía. Necesita un guía seguro y experimentado para ayudarla a descubrir el mundo. Tan solo estar con su humano - entonces se vuelve cariñosa y juguetona, y disfrutarás tocar su pelaje superabultado. Cuando vas a su jaula y te paras frente a la puerta para recogerla para salir a pasear, se emociona enormemente, como si hubiera estado esperándote toda su vida. Experimenta emociones muy intensamente, pero no saltará sobre ti ni te hará daño; todo lo que quiere es atención y afecto. ¡Y quizás algunos bocadillos! Pero está cuidando su peso. Cuando sale del refugio, en los paseos, su cuerpo se relaja, lejos del ruido y la tensión. Al principio, solía tirar un poco de la correa y no confiaba mucho en la gente. Necesitaba tiempo para conocer a alguien y confiar en ella, pero con paciencia y amor, la vida con ella es realmente fácil. Le encanta caminar en la naturaleza, lejos de todo el estrés, y luego camina tan hermosamente con la correa, delante de ti o a tu lado. Antes reaccionaba fuertemente ante otros perros, pero ahora, cuando está afuera y se siente segura, reacciona ocasionalmente ante perros más dominantes que puedan amenazarla. En los parques caninos, se siente libre y es una perra muy juguetona. Al principio parece ignorarte, pero lo que realmente ama es sorprenderte apareciendo detrás de ti. Le encanta correr y explorar. Cuando camina delante de ti, siempre mira hacia atrás y se asegura de que estés allí. A veces, cuando se distrae jugando, te escondes por un momento, y tan pronto como ella te ve, corre felizmente hacia ti. Es muy dulce; solo necesita un hogar que le ofrezca seguridad, rutinas y amor. Ahora el clima veraniego trae calor, y los perros mayores tienen una muy difícil época en el refugio, por lo tanto, realmente busca su hogar definitivo, con una persona experimentada, en un barrio tranquilo y idealmente con espacio al aire libre, sin demasiados factores estresantes alrededor. Saba was rescued from a terrible horror situation of hoarders, where the many animals were living among piles of rubbish, enclosed. When Saba and all the animals were rescued, and first arrived to us, she was not well socalised with people yet, logically, since she lived separated from the rest of the world. She was also physically in a bad condition, heavily overweight and barely moving. Now, months later, she is doing very well, her fur is long, fluffy and beautiful. Saba now loves to go on walks with volunteers and run around in the parks, as much as her old bones, that were neglected for a long time, allow. The past leaves its scars, and Saba is still a bit of an insecure dog, but she now melts quickly and has become a senior who needs to feel seen and loved. Sometimes we still she her anxious, crying into the sky for a moment, or when you stop on the walk, she becomes impatient, as if she feels insecure about what is now wanted from her. All she needs is understanding, someone to guide her, and lots and lots of love, and companionship. She needs a confident and experienced guide to help her discover the world. Just to be together with her human - then she becomes cuddly and playful, and you’ll enjoy touching her superfluffy fur. When you go to her kennel and stand in front of the door to take her for a walk, she gets incredibly excited, like she has indeed been waiting for you all her life. She experiences emotions very intensely, but she won't jump on you or hurt you; all she wants is attention and affection. And perhaps some snacks! But she is watching her weight. When she leaves the shelter, on walks, her body relaxes, away from the noise and the tension. At first, she used to pull a bit on the leash and didn't trust people very much. She needed time to get to know you and trust you, but with patience and love, life is actually very easy with her. She loves walking in the nature, away from all the stress, and then she walks so beautifully on the leash, in front of you or next to you. Before, she reacted strongly to other dogs, but now, when she's outside and feels safe, she only reacts occasionally to more dominant dogs that might threaten her. In the dog parks, she feels free and is a very playful dog. At first, she seems to ignore you, but what she really loves is surprising you by coming up behind you. She loves to run around and explore. When she's is walking in front of you, she's always looking back and making sure you're still there. Sometimes, when she gets distracted playing, you hide for a moment, and as soon as she sees you, she comes running happily towards you. She's very sweet; she just needs a home that provides her with security, routines, and love. Now the summer weather is bringing the heat, and the senior dogs are having a very difficult time in the shelter, so she is really looking for her last and forever home, with an experienced person, in a calm neighborhood and ideally with some outdoors space, without too many stressful factors around.
