Spike came to the care of RSPCA Bluebell Ridge as a stray after spending several months living in a porch. While we can never know exactly what happened, the pieces we’ve been able to put together suggest that Spike may have been left behind when his previous owners moved away. Despite everything he’s been through, Spike hasn’t let it dull his loving nature. This gorgeous lad has the sweetest little squeaky meow and the biggest heart imaginable. From the moment he arrived, he charmed staff and volunteers alike, showing everyone just how affectionate and people-oriented he is. He absolutely adores human company and simply wants to be close to those he loves. It breaks our hearts to think that a cat with so much love to give was left behind by the people who should have cared for him most. But Spike isn’t looking back—he’s ready to find his forever family and start the next chapter of his life. Spike is hoping for a home where he can be the centre of attention, so he would prefer not to live with other animals. He could happily live with sensible older children aged 10 and over who will respect his space and enjoy all the affection he has to offer.
