Tango es un saluki lurcher de 5 años que creemos que fue utilizado para cazar hasta que sus dueños lo entregaron. Es tan hermoso y tranquilo, pero también recibe regularmente una dosis de entusiasmo que lo lleva a hacer grandes vueltas corriendo por nuestros campos. Creemos que Tango nunca ha vivido en una casa antes. Le encanta la cama y se adaptará fácilmente a una casa, sin embargo, el entrenamiento para ir al baño puede requerir trabajo durante las primeras semanas en su nueva casa. Es muy limpio aquí en las jaulas desde que fue castrado, pero debe considerarse que vivir en una casa será nuevo para él. Tango se lleva bien con otros perros. Es excelente con las hembras, pero si hay otros machos que sean molestos cerca de él, tratará de ser el jefe. Definitivamente lo rehogaríamos con un perro hembra, pero un macho tendría que esperar a una presentación. A Tango no le es necesario vivir con otro perro, pero si no hay ningún perro en su casa, esperaríamos que no haya muchas horas de salida. Los lurchers generalmente no se sienten cómodos solos durante mucho tiempo. Tango nunca ha vivido con niños antes y puede ser un poco codicioso con la comida (quizás comprensiblemente), por lo tanto preferiríamos una casa con niños mayores de 12 años para Tango. Por otro lado, un jardín seguro sería preferible ya que probablemente haya sido utilizado para cazar en el pasado y podría tener un instinto de caza que no se detiene en los límites de tu propiedad. Esto podría negociarse dependiendo de la ubicación de la casa ofrecida y los esfuerzos que los dueños realicen para supervisarlo.

Tango is a 5 year old saluki lurcher who is a real favourite of everyone at the rescue. He is so beautiful and gentle, but he also gets a regular dose of the giddies which leads to vast, sprinting loops of our fields! Tango, we believe, has never lived inside a home before. He loves bed and will settle easily into a house, however, house-training may be something to work on across his first couple of weeks in a home. He is very clean here in kennels since getting neutered, but it should be considered that living in a home will be new to him. Tango does well with other dogs. He is terrific with the females but will try to be the boss if other males are being annoying around him! We would definitely rehome him with a female dog, but a male would have to be pending a meet and greet. Tango does not necessarily have to live with another dog, but if there is no dog in his home, we would hope there wouldn’t be too many leaving hours. Lurchers do not generally do well by themselves for any real length of time. Tango has never lived with children before and can be a bit grabby with food (perhaps understandably) so we would prefer a home with children 12 plus for Tango. Meanwhile, a secure garden is preferrable, he has probably been used for hunting in the past and may have a prey drive that does not stop at your boundary! This may be negotiable depending on the location of the home offered and the efforts owners put into oversight.
