Please help Tom by sharing this page! Cutie boy Tom is a Jack Russell Terrier of 10 years who's in a foster home in Liverpool through Dogs Trust Merseyside . He wants to be the only pet at home but can live with dog-savvy teenagers. He must have company all the time to be happy and relaxed. Typical to his breed, Tom is a very busy boy who loves to play and explore. He needs a garden which is not just secure but Terrier secure as he has proved to be an escape artist previously. On walks, Tom will now trot calmly past other dogs and only react if another dog barks at him. It was a different story before he settled in foster and felt secure though. He used to try and get his retaliation in first, so a bit of patience while he adjusts to his new life might be required. He can't have long walks, even though he'd like to, as he has a ruptured cruciate but is not a good candidate for surgery so this is managed with pain relief. Tom is not only house-trained, he also doesn't like to relieve himself in his own garden which means he needs someone to take him out to a nearby patch of grass whenever he needs to go. He's very happy to be lifted into the car for any sort of adventure! He is affectionate with his people and friendly with people in general. He only feels relaxed when he has human company and must have someone with him all the time. He gets so upset if left alone that he can be destructive and therefore needs owners who can arrange things to make sure he's always with someone. Tom is full of fun and love! Although he needs a specific sort of home, he will be the perfect, cheery addition to that lucky household which is a match.
