Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs settling in Can I be left alone? Yes Winnie is settled when she is left alone, but as a mature lady she can only manage a couple of hours before she is likely to need the toilet. She is toilet trained and previously has had good response to cues for this. Do I have any medical conditions? Existing conditions Winnie has current medical conditions, namely dental work, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? Yes, conditionally - securely house, able to be kept separately if needed. Additional information Winnie prefers the company of people to dogs. She doesn’t seek out interactions with other dogs and can be a little worried around excitable dogs. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Winnie can take a little pause before warming up to people, but if you have treats then she will likely befriend you quicker! When you have this bond Winnie will be on your lap and looking for a fuss. Any children in the home need to be 8 years old +, who will give her space when needed. What type of environment would suit me? Winnie is used to having her own private garden and would need this in a new home. She enjoys to have a mooch about before sitting and taking in the world around her. It would also give her another safe space to chomp away on her carrots and natural chews. About Winnie Winnie is a lovely older lady who still has so much love to give. She adores being close to her people and is happiest curled up on a lap. If she feels she’s not getting quite enough fuss, she’ll gently paw at you to remind you she’s ready for more cuddles! When she’s not soaking up affection, Winnie enjoys pottering around the garden at her own leisurely pace, taking in all the sights and smells. One of her favourite treats is a crunchy carrot, and it’s impossible not to smile as you watch her happily chomp away. Sweet, gentle, and full of character, Winnie is looking for a home where she can enjoy plenty of love, comfort, and companionship in her golden years.
