Zara entró en nuestro cuidado recientemente, necesitando atención médica de emergencia y seria. Afortunadamente, ahora está completamente recuperada y lista para su nueva vida. Es una JRT pequeña y tiene aproximadamente 8 años. Zara ha tenido una vida difícil y ha vivido principalmente afuera sin mucho conocimiento de la vida familiar. No queremos que rompas demasiado su exterior resistente, pero te diremos que ha descubierto los sofás y no ha mirado atrás desde entonces... ¡shhh! Esta pequeña dama es tan resistente como un par de botas viejas y está llena de carácter. Puede que sea una dama más madura, pero eso no impide nada en Zara... ¡no un poco! Está llena de energía y ama salir, explorar, olfatear y correr. Zara es un alma independiente y pasó gran parte de su vida patrullando su territorio, observando todo y cualquier cosa. Pero patrullar es solo uno de los pasatiempos favoritos de Zara, por lo que un hogar que le permita hacerlo de manera segura, y que entienda que a veces le gustará anunciarlo todo, será importante para ella. Le hemos estado ayudando a aprender a amar otras actividades también (los Cursos de Olfateo son casi su favorito) así que tiene otras salidas para su comportamiento; todo esto deberá continuar en su nuevo hogar también y ha sido bastante exitoso en su hogar de acogida. Zara es muy linda y pequeña, pero es un terrier duro y necesitará mucha diversión. Sin embargo, tiene madurez a su favor, así que no salta de las paredes y está contenta de relajarse en un lugar soleado y enrollarse a tu lado en el sofá. Es muy dulce y cariñosa y ama a sus personas, con quienes se enamora profundamente. Está en acogida con otros perros, pero no está muy interesada en interactuar o jugar con ellos. Es muy educada y amable con ellos, pero preferiría vivir como el único perro, o con otro anciano que no esté tan interesado en ella. Zara no será feliz en un área muy poblada, pero puede caminar cómodamente alrededor del tráfico y los peatones. Su ladrido no es fuerte ni muy grande ya que es solo una pequeñita, pero ladrará detrás de la reja para alertar a todos. Zara es amigable con las personas, pero muchas personas que pasan frente a su casa podrían ser demasiado para ella. Necesitará dos paseos diarios en una correa larga, para que pueda correr y explorar según desee y sus nuevos dueños deben estar preparados y tener los recursos para conducirla, o de lo contrario, a lugares tranquilos con espacio abierto o similares. Esto le da mucho espacio para importantes asuntos de terrier sin la presión de otros perros molestándola. A Zara le encantaría tener espacio para pasear y patrullar, por lo que necesitará un jardín seguro para llamarlo suyo. Actualmente está en acogida con niños, pero no con niños pequeños. Un hogar con adultos o adolescentes sería el mejor. Probablemente no quiera vivir con gatos u otros animales pequeños y es más feliz cuando sigue a su humano y forma parte de las actividades. Zara está vacunada, esterilizada y microchipada (972274200164363). vivirá en un área suficientemente tranquila que no sea muy poblada tendrá niños pequeños residentes no tendrá perros o mascotas, o quizás tenga un perro mayor que no esté interesado en otros perros (priorizaremos hogares sin perros) trabajará a tiempo parcial, como máximo, incluso después del confinamiento y aunque trabaje desde casa, pero estará en casa y disponible la mayor parte del tiempo inicialmente comprometida a darle a Zara algunas semanas para adaptarse, ayudándola a sentirse cómoda. Zara came into our care recently, needing emergency and serious medical care. Thankfully, she is now fully recovered and ready for her new life! She is a small JRT and is about 8 years of age. Zara has had a hard-knocks life, and has lived largely outside without a whole lot of experience of family life. She doesn’t really want us to crack that tough exterior too much and tell you that she has discovered sofas, and hasn’t looked back since… ssshhh! This little lady is as tough as old boots and is FULL of character. She might be a more mature lady but that doesn’t stop Zara…not one bit! She is full of beans and loves to get out and about, to explore, sniff and run around. Zara is an independent soul and spent much of her life patrolling her patch, watching for anything and everything. But patrolling is just one of Zara’s favourite past-times so a home that allows for this safely, and understands that she will sometimes like to shout about it all, will be important for her. We have been helping her learn to love other hobbies too (Sniffing Courses are just about her favourite) so she has other outlets for her behaviour; all that will need to continue in her new home too and has been pretty successful in her foster home. Zara is very cute, and petite, but she is a rough n tough terrier and will need plenty of entertainment. However, she has maturity on her side so isn’t bouncing off the walls and is happy to chill in a sunny spot and curl up beside you on the sofa. She is very sweet and affectionate and LOVES her people, with whom she falls in love hard. She is in foster with other dogs but isn’t terribly interested in interacting or playing with them. She’s very polite and friendly with them but would prefer to live as an only dog, or with another oldie that’s not so interested in her either. Zara won’t be happy in a very built-up area but can walk comfortably around traffic and passers-by. Her bark isn’t loud or too big as she’s only a wee-thing but will bark from behind the gate to alert everyone! Zara is friendly with people but a lot of passers-by to her home might be just too much for her. She will need a couple of walks each day, on a long line, so she can run about and explore as she pleases and her new humans must be prepared, and have the resources, to drive her, or otherwise, to quiet, open parkland or similar. This allows her lots of space for important terrier-business without the pressure of other dogs bothering her. Zara would love some space to potter about and patrol, so she will need a secure garden to call her own. She is currently in foster with kids, but not small children. A home with adults or teenage kids would be best. She probably doesn’t want to live with cats or other small pets and is happiest when she gets to follow her human about and be part of the business. Zara is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped (972274200164363). will live in a quiet enough area that is not too built up will have no resident small children may have adult only and/or teenagers (and up) must have a secure garden, of a good size, at the house must have the means to drive her to quiet places for walkies, or access to quiet spots close to home doesn’t have other dogs or pets, or maybe has an older dog who isn’t interested in other dogs (we will prioritise dog-free homes) works part-time, at most, even after lockdown and even if working from home, but is home and available much of the time initially committed to giving Zara a few weeks to settle, helping her become comfortable.
