Los perros mayores tienen una sabiduría propia. Sin importar qué carácter tenían en su juventud o qué vida han vivido hasta el momento en que llegan a tus manos, el perro mayor que conoces es de alguna manera sabio. Uno de estos perros es Bob. Tiene una estabilidad, una madurez y una mirada profunda, como si pudieras leer historias que ha vivido y lecciones que ha aprendido en sus ojos. Bob vino a nosotros para recibir tratamiento y rehabilitación por leishmaniosis. Un perro que ha pasado casi toda su vida en las calles, y ahora, en la fase más tierna de su vida, la fase en la que necesita un poco de confort, un poco más de cuidado y algo de diversión, es muy difícil para nosotros dejarlo de nuevo en la calle, aunque sepamos que vivirá con seguridad y será alimentado. Ver su cara blanca disfrutando de la tranquilidad y la magia cada vez que lo llevamos con nosotros al despacho, es inconcebible para nosotros dejarlo pasar los últimos años de su vida en el frío del invierno y el calor del verano. Bob ha completado su tratamiento y está bien. Es un perro de tonos suaves y carácter amable. Le gusta caminar con correa, sigue fielmente y no tira, sin necesidad de largos paseos para liberar energía. Es muy limpio, va al baño en sus paseos, y si está en el despacho y necesita salir, va a la puerta y pide que lo dejen salir. No nos ha causado ningún problema durante todo el tiempo que ha estado en el refugio. Recibe su tratamiento sin quejarse, se relaciona con otros perros sin crear problemas, es tranquilo y buen mozo. Es un caballero. Si tuviéramos que describirlo con una sola palabra sería esta, caballero. Busca un hogar permanente para pasar sus años de vejez, y no queremos que pase estos últimos años de su vida en una jaula o en la calle.

Old dogs have a wisdom of their own. He is a dog of mild tones and gentle character. He enjoys walking on a leash, follows faithfully, and does not pull, without needing long walks to release energy. He is very clean, goes to the bathroom on his walks, and if he is in the office and needs to go out, he goes to the door and asks to be let out.
