Cuando el joven Freddie llegó por primera vez a nuestro cuidado, era un chico muy preocupado. Ahora que lleva un tiempo con nosotros, sabe que puede confiar en nosotros y se ha convertido en un verdadero amor con sus personas favoritas. Recientemente ha tenido un procedimiento quirúrgico para levantar sus párpados, y podemos notar inmediatamente la diferencia en él ahora que puede ver correctamente. Freddie es mucho más seguro ahora y no se asusta tan fácilmente. Le encantan sus paseos y ahora también puede tener tiempo sin correa, donde tiene las "zoomies". Fred aún está un poco inseguro con nuevos lugares y personas, pero se adapta mucho más fácilmente de lo que solía hacer, pero sus adoptantes deberán ir a su ritmo mientras se acostumbra a su nueva vida. Sabemos que ha estado alerta ante ruidos fuertes en su anterior hogar, por lo que beneficiaría de un entorno bastante tranquilo. Freddie ha estado dispuesto a acercarse a otros perros, pero cuando los alcanza, no parece saber qué hacer. Sabemos que ha vivido con otros perros antes y parece feliz al caminar en un grupo pequeño, simplemente no está seguro de las interacciones cara a cara en este momento. No hemos visto a Freddie mostrar mucho interés por juguetes, pero esto podría ser algo que venga con el tiempo a medida que su confianza crezca. Freddie busca un hogar donde los niños sean mayores de 16 años y sea el único perro. Está entrenado para hacer sus necesidades en casa y puede quedarse solo durante unas horas sin problema. Es probable que necesite varias visitas antes de irse a casa.

When young Freddie first came into our care, he was such a worried boy. Now he’s been with us a little while he knows he can trust us and has become a real cuddle bug with his favourite people. He has recently had a surgical procedure to lift his eyelids, and we can instantly notice the difference in him now that he can see properly. Freddie is much more confident now, and less easily spooked. He loves his walks and can now have off lead time too, where he gets the zoomies. Fred is still a little unsure of new places and people, but he adjusts much more readily than he used to, but his adopters will need to go at his pace whilst he settles into his new life. We know he’s been wary of loud noises in his previous home, so he’d benefit from a fairly quiet environment. Freddie has been happy to approach other dogs, but when he gets to them, he doesn’t seem to know what to do! We know he has lived with other dogs before and he seems happy to walk in a small group, he’s just not so sure about face-to-face interactions right now. We haven’t seen Freddie show much interest in toys, but this may be something else that comes in time as his confidence grows. Freddie is looking for a home where any children are over 16 and he can be the only dog. He is house trained and can be left for a couple of hours without worry. He is likely to need a few visits paying to him before he goes home.
