Bonito chico Goose está buscando su hogar para siempre, cariñoso. Goose es un whippet muy cariñoso, afectuoso y tierno. También es bastante tímido, nervioso y sufre ansiedad de separación, por lo tanto se beneficiaría más en un hogar tranquilo y predecible donde alguien esté presente la mayor parte del tiempo hasta que tenga más confianza. Le encantan los abrazos, la atención y estar con sus humanos tanto como sea posible, probablemente debido a haber pasado por muchas cambios en su vida. Puede ser muy llorón y llorar si no puede seguirt e a una habitación. Tampoco tiene mucha confianza cuando se le deja solo, casi nunca. Se pone ansioso y llora cuando nota que alguien está listo para salir o se va, incluso si no se le está dejando solo. Cuando se le deja solo, llora/gime cuando lo nota y le toma un tiempo calmarse. Aparte de eso, es relajado en casa después de sus paseos, le encanta jugar con sus juguetes y normalmente duerme en el sofá o en su jaula (abierta). Es muy acurrucado por las noches, durmiendo en un regazo cómodo o en su manta eléctrica. Por la noche, duerme felizmente en la sala con la puerta cerrada y está tranquilo. Fuera, es tranquilo y fácil de tratar en sus paseos, no tira de la correa y disfruta olfateando mucho. Le encanta estar sin correa en el jardín para jugar con una pelota o un juguete y tiene momentos de energía pero no tiene recall confiable, por lo tanto el uso de una correa larga es esencial para su seguridad. Un jardín grande y cercado sería ideal para Goose. En sus paseos no es reactivo hacia otros perros, pero a veces se emociona cuando ve a algunos perros pequeños. Saluda a otros perros tranquilos correctamente. Destacablemente, otros perros reactivos / emocionantes tienden a volverse agresivos alrededor de él y lo acosan, ya que él puede estar muy ansioso alrededor de ellos. Es un perro inteligente y responde bien al entrenamiento, ha aprendido sentarse / acostarse / quedarse, aunque no siempre está motivado por la comida, por lo tanto los premios de alto valor son clave. Debido a su comportamiento nervioso creemos que un hogar solo para adultos sería lo más adecuado. Entrenamiento continuo en su recall fuera y en la jaula.

Beautiful boy Goose is looking for his forever, loving home. Goose is a very loving, affectionate and gentle whippet. He is also quite timid, nervous and has separation anxiety so would thrive best in a quiet, predictable home where someone is around for most of the time at least until he is more confident. He loves cuddles, attention and to be with his humans as much as possible, most likely due to being through a lot of changes in his life. He can be very whiny and cry if he cannot follow you into a room. He is also not confident when being left alone, almost at all. He gets anxious and cries when he notices someone is getting ready to go outside or leaves, even if he is not being left alone. When he is left alone, he will cry/howl when he notices and it takes him a while to settle down. Other than that, he is relaxed at home after his walks, loves playing with his toys and usually sleeps on the sofa or in his crate (open). He is very cuddly in the evenings, sleeping on a cosy lap or on his electric blanket. Overnight, he sleeps happily in the living room with the door shut and is calm. Outside, he is calm and easy-going on his walks, not pulling on the lead and enjoys sniffing lots. He loves being off the lead in the garden to play with a ball or tug and will get zoomies but does not have reliable recall, so the use of a long lead is essential to be safe. A large enclosed garden for Goose would be ideal. On walks he is not reactive to other dogs, but can get excited sometimes when he sees some smaller dogs. He greets other calm dogs nicely. Notably, other reactive / excitable dogs tend to quickly turn aggressive around him and bully him, as he can be very anxious around them. He is a clever dog and responds well to training, having learned sit / lie down / stay, although he is not always food motivated, so high value treats are key. Due to his nervous demeanour we think an adult only home would be best suited. Ongoing training on his recall outside and crate training will be required as well as his separation anxiety but overall he is a wonderful dog that will reward your time and effort back with love and cuddles.
