Los veterinarios no pudieron soportar la idea de dormir a un perro perfectamente saludable, así que obtuvieron el permiso de los dueños para rescatarlo. Afortunadamente, Gunner recibió una segunda oportunidad y en menos de 24 horas se encontraba en Freshfields listo para encontrar su hogar para siempre. Lamentablemente, debido a cómo Gunner llegó a nuestro cuidado, tenemos un historial limitado conocido de él en cuanto a su comportamiento en un hogar. Tras las evaluaciones de comportamiento y pasando tiempo con este magnífico perro, hemos aprendido mucho sobre él: – Gunner está entrenado para hacer sus necesidades y no hace desorden en su habitación cuando se le deja toda la noche. – Gunner es un gigante amable; nunca ha mostrado agresión o nerviosismo hacia las personas. – Le encanta su comida y no tiene alergias o intolerancias conocidas. – Actualmente está un poco inseguro alrededor de otros perros y puede volverse un poco loco. Con más exposición y entrenamiento, esto definitivamente mejorará y es algo en lo que el equipo de kennels está trabajando. Gunner camina bien en la correa, sin embargo, con más de 34 kg, necesitará alguien con fuerza para poder manejarlo y podría ser adecuado solo en un hogar con niños mayores. Gunner es un perro muy energético, entusiasta y cariñoso. Le encanta saludarte en cualquier momento que te una a él en el patio o en su habitación. Es extremadamente juguetón y puede estar entretenido durante horas con todos tipos de juguetes, especialmente le encanta el juego de tirar de la cuerda. Gunner puede caminar durante horas con el personal y voluntarios y especialmente le encantan las visitas a la reserva natural cerca de Freshfields. Sería realmente un compañero fiel, te animaría a pasar tiempo con él al aire libre y dejarlo ver y explorar más del mundo. Gunner está vacunado, está al día con el tratamiento contra pulgas y gusanos y ha sido esterilizado mientras estaba en nuestras instalaciones. Gunner ni siquiera tiene 4 años, merece vivir una vida divertida y plena fuera de los kennels. Sabemos que la persona correcta está ahí fuera para él. The vets could not bring themselves to put to sleep a perfectly healthy dog so got permission from the owners to rescue him. Luckily, Gunner was given a second chance and in less than 24 hours, he found himself at Freshfields ready to find his forever home. Unfortunately, due to how Gunner came to be in our care, we have a limited known history of him in terms of his behaviour in a home. Following on from behavioural assessments and just spending time with this amazing dog, we have learnt so much about him: – Gunner is house trained and makes no mess in his room when left overnight. – Gunner is a gentle giant; he has never shown any aggression or nervousness towards people. – He loves his food and has no known allergies or intolerances. – He is currently quite unsure around other dogs and can get a bit giddy. With more exposure and training, this will definitely improve and is something our kennels team are working on. Gunner walks nicely on the lead however at over 34kg, he will need someone with the strength to be able to manage him and he may only be suitable in a household with older children. Gunner is a very energetic, enthusiastic and affectionate dog. He loves greeting you anytime you join him on the yard or in his room. He’s extremely playful and can be occupied for hours with all sorts of toys – he especially loves a game of tug of war. Gunner can walk for hours with staff and volunteers and especially loves trips to the nature reserve near Freshfields. He would truly be a loyal companion, would encourage you to spend time with him outside and letting him see and explore more of the world. Gunner is vaccinated, up to date with flea and worm treatment and has been neutered while on site with us. Gunner is not even 4 years old, he deserves to live a fun, full life outside of kennels.
