Harley es un pequeño spaniel de agua que fue entregado a nuestro cuidado por no ser su culpa. Está buscando un hogar muy activo con experiencia en tener spaniels y saber qué se necesita para satisfacer sus necesidades y mantenerlos felices. Es un chico guapo que necesita un jardín privado seguro con una cerca alta ya que a veces puede ser saltarín y no queremos que haya escapes accidentales. Harley busca un hogar que esté interesado en el entrenamiento y mantener su mente ocupada, cosas como trabajo de olfato o Hoopers serían una excelente salida para este maravilloso chico para estimular su mente. Tiene displasia de cadera leve pero actualmente no le está causando ningún problema, pero podría requerir medicación en algún momento en el futuro si comienza a darle problemas. También irá con un acuerdo de castración al adoptarlo, de modo que una vez que se haya adaptado a su nuevo hogar, pueda regresar a nosotros para ser castrado. Harley puede convivir con niños mayores de 16 años que sean seguros alrededor de perros excitable, pero como aún es joven y no muy socializado, a veces muerde cuando se siente abrumado, sin embargo está haciendo bien con el entrenamiento y la gestión para esto. Adora llevar juguetes y mostrarles cuánto los ama, también es comilón lo que hace más fácil el entrenamiento. Actualmente estamos introduciéndolo al entrenamiento con clicker y enseñándole algunas señales básicas y buenas maneras. Harley ha demostrado ser bueno con otros perros hasta ahora y esperamos mezclarlo con otro perro en el lugar en algún momento para determinar si podría vivir con otro perro, así que mantengan la vista puesta en actualizaciones sobre esto. Harley tiene dificultades con la vida en jaula y actualmente está tomando cierta medicación para ayudarle a sentirse un poco más relajado durante su estadía aquí. Será reubicado con esta medicación y se le retirará una vez en su hogar definitivo. Harley is a young Springer spaniel who was signed over into our care through no fault of his own. He is looking for a very active home with experience of owning spaniels and what it takes to meet their needs to keep them happy. He is a handsome chap who needs a secure private garden with a tall boundary as he can be bouncy at times and we wouldn’t want any accidental escapes! Harley is looking for a home that will be interested in training and keeping his brain busy, things like scent work or Hoopers would be a fantastic outlet for this wonderful boy to engage his brain. He does have mild hip dysplasia but this is not currently causing him any issues but he may require medication at some point in the future if it starts to give him any problems. He will also be going with a neuter agreement upon adoption so that once he has settled into his new home he can come back to us to get neutered. Harley can live with children 16+ who are confident around excitable dogs but as he is still young and undersocialised he can sometimes mouth when overwhelmed – however he is doing well with training and management for this. He adores nothing more than carrying around toys and showing you just how much he loves them, he is foody as well which makes training easier – we are currently introducing him to clicker training and teaching him some basic cues and manners. Harley has shown to be good with other dogs so far and we are hoping to mix him with another dog on site at some point to determine if he could live with another dog – so keep an eye out for updates on this. Harley struggles with kennel life and is currently on some medication to help him feel a bit more relaxed during his stay here. He will be rehomed on this medication and weaned off of it once in his forever home. He will make a fantastic best friend for someone willing to put the time, energy and patience into training this fantastic, smart boy and he will repay you by being the best adventure companion you could hope for.
