With her friendly, cuddly nature, this young female has won everyone over. Isra hasn't experienced much in life yet and is very insecure in new situations. Breed-typically, this behavior is amplified - the Kangal feels most comfortable in familiar surroundings and shows dominant, territorial behavior there. Everything new is initially difficult for our little 'hero'. The pronounced protective instinct is also typical for Kangals, causing dogs to behave distantly to mistrustfully toward strangers and other dogs. However, this young female is very open and much can still be worked on with her. She has already made many friends among the shelter staff. Isra needs a home with a large, securely fenced property where she can fulfill her breed-specific duties and gain security. She is a totally sensitive and gentle female who is content when she can do her job and guard her home. Extensive cuddle sessions are a must with her!
