Jake fue adoptado de Macedonia hace unos meses. Cuando era joven fue encontrado completamente perdido siguiendo a la gente en el centro de la capital macedonia, desesperadamente tratando de encontrar el camino a casa y afortunadamente en la búsqueda de la persona que lo abandonó, se encontró con nuestro rescatador. Fue colocado en jaulas y puesto en adopción. Siendo un perro negro simplemente fue pasando por alto y terminó esperando varios años para tener un hogar, pero finalmente tuvo suerte al conseguir un boleto al Reino Unido. Los adoptadores de Jake han venido muy lejos con él, pero resulta que necesita un hogar más tranquilo y estamos buscando el hogar perfecto para siempre o lugar de acogida para este diamante negro. Este chico hermoso es un perro increíblemente leal y cariñoso, que ama recibir atención y quiere estar cerca de sus dueños. Le encanta jugar a tirar y perseguir pelotas en el jardín. Aunque tiende a proteger algunos juguetes/objetos, ha hecho buen progreso en reducir este comportamiento desarrollando confianza con sus dueños y comprendiendo que no necesita protegerlos. Alimentarlo a mano ha sido una buena manera de desarrollar confianza y continuar con esto ayudará a que gane más confianza con el tiempo. Puede ser cauteloso con las personas nuevas, pero mediante presentaciones adecuadas y graduales es capaz de construir un buen nivel de confianza y ha mejorado tanto desde que llegó al Reino Unido. Necesita tener su propio espacio tranquilo para relajarse y desconectar después de las comidas; está entrenado en jaula y dormirá allí por la noche y en varias ocasiones durante el día. Es un perro energético y la estimulación mental es esencial para él: los cojines de olfato y otros juguetes de actividad ayudan a manejar sus niveles de energía. El hogar ideal de Jake será una casa tranquila sin niños ni otros perros, y dueños con energía, paciencia y comprensión de que necesitará tiempo para adaptarse a sus nuevos entornos. Acceso a un jardín y un entorno rural/espacio verde es importante. Necesita al menos dos paseos de longitud decente al día, y debe dedicarse tiempo a la formación y obediencia. Es reactivo hacia los perros cuando invaden su espacio personal y se quedan más de lo debido. Tiende a ser feliz interactuando e incluso jugando con las perras, por lo que la socialización es posible. Solo tomará tiempo y perseverancia. Es muy inteligente y ha aprendido rápidamente órdenes básicas, así como ha hecho un progreso significativo en el regreso y la obediencia con la correa. Tomará algún tiempo para adaptarse a su nuevo hogar y podría parecer desapegado al principio - no es inusual para un perro rescatado en un nuevo entorno. Jake necesita personas que dediquen tiempo y esfuerzo para continuar su desarrollo positivo, y será un perro fantástico en el entorno adecuado. Castrado, vacunado y con microchip

Jake was adopted from Macedonia a couple of months ago. When he was young he was found completely lost following people in the center of the Macedonian capital, desperately trying to find his way home and luckily in the search for the person who abandoned him, he stumbled upon our rescuer. He was placed in kennels and put up for adoption. Being a black dog he was simply overlooked and ended up waiting several years for a home, but finally he was lucky to get a ticket to the UK. Jakes adopters have come very far with him but it turns out he needs a quieter home and we are looking for the perfect forever home or foster place for this black diamond. This gourgeous boy is an incredibly loyal and affectionate dog, who loves a fuss and wants to be close to his owners. He loves to play tug and chase balls around the garden. Whilst he does tend to resource guard some toys/items, he has made good progress in reducing this behaviour through developing trust with this owners and understanding that he doesn’t need to guard. Feeding by hand has been a good way to develop trust and continuing this will help him gain further confidence over time. He can be cautious of new people, but through proper and gradual introductions he is able to build a good level of trust and has improved so much since arriving in the UK. He needs to have his own quiet space to decompress and relax after meals; he is crate trained and will sleep there at night and various times during the day. He is an energetic dog and mental stimulation is essential for him – snuffle matts and other activity toys helps with managing his energy levels. Jakes ideal home will be a quiet household with no kids or other dogs, and owners with energy, patience and an understanding that he will need time to settle in to his new surroundings. Access to a garden and rural environment/green space is important. He needs at least two decent length walks a day, and time must be spent on training and obedience. He is only reactive towards dogs when they invade his personal space and outstay their welcome. He tends to be happy with interacting and even playing with female dogs, so socialisation is possible. It will just take time and perseverance. He is very clever and has picked up basic commands quickly, as well as making significant progress in recall and lead obedience. He will take some time to settle into his new home and may seem detached at first – this is not unusual for a rescue dog in a new environment. Jake needs people who will dedicate time and effort to continue his positive development, and he will be a fantastic dog in the right environment. Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped
