Kobie es un Staffordshire Bull Terrier cruzado muy atractivo que tiene 8 años y se acerca a su cuarto año en Kennels. Llegó a Freshfields al final del 2021, por no tener culpa propia y ha estado con nosotros desde entonces, viendo a sus amigos encontrar hogares para siempre y preguntándose cuándo será su turno. Kobie es extremadamente juguetón y cariñoso, lleno de energía y vida y se siente igual de cómodo corriendo tras una pelota como relajándose y acurrucándose a tu lado en el sofá... algo que él y sus voluntarios aman hacer todos los días. Un gran amante de paseos y el sol, Kobie te acompañará afuera por campos tranquilos y caminos largos. Una vez sin su correa en un espacio seguro y cerrado, él felizmente y ansiosamente perseguirá pelotas de tenis y juguetes, saltando alrededor con una gran sonrisa tonta en su cara. Nunca ha habido problemas con la protección de comida o juguetes, está completamente entrenado para ir al baño y es un chico inteligente que escucha y responde con positividad a órdenes básicas. Kobie puede ser desconfiado con extraños y personas que no conoce, lo que lo hace a veces emocionarse demasiado y lanzarse, pero con la ayuda de nuestro comportamentalista y su aceptación plena del bozal, esto ha mejorado enormemente. Si encuentra a otros perros en un paseo, su principal objetivo es simplemente pasar junto a ellos, aunque puede ser reactivo hacia ellos, lo que significa que necesitará ser el único animal en el hogar y no tener animales visitantes. El hogar perfecto para Kobie necesita ser un entorno tranquilo, libre de mascotas y niños, con un dueño experimentado que esté en casa la mayor parte del tiempo. Alguien paciente, seguro y con una naturaleza calmada y amorosa que solo quiera un "mejor amigo" sería ideal. Le pediremos que conozca a Kobie varias veces en el refugio, tomando las cosas con calma mientras construye una relación con él. Kobie is a stunningly handsome Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is 8 years old and fast approaching his 4th year in Kennels. He found his way to Freshfields at the end of 2021, through no fault of his own and has been here with us ever since, watching his friends find forever homes and wondering when it will be his turn. Kobie is incredibly playful and affectionate, full of energy and life and is equally at home running around chasing a ball as much as lounging about and cuddling up next to you on a couch…something he and his volunteers love doing every day. A massive lover of walks and sunshine, Kobie will accompany you out along quiet fields, and long lanes. Once off his lead in an enclosed safe space, he will happily and eagerly chase after tennis balls and toys, bounding around with a big goofy smile on his face. There have never been any issues with food or toy guarding, he is fully toilet trained, and he is a clever boy who listens and acts with positivity to basic commands. Kobie can be wary of strangers and people he does not know, which causes him to sometimes become over excited and lunge, but, with the help of our behaviourist and his full acceptance of a muzzle, this has improved enormously. If he comes across other dogs out on a walk, his main goal is to just get past them, although he can be reactive towards them meaning he will need to be the only pet in the household and have no visiting pets. The perfect forever home for Kobie needs to be a quiet, pet and childfree environment with an experienced owner who is home most of the time. Someone patient, confident and with a calming loving nature who just wants a “best mate” would be ideal. We will ask you to meet Kobie several times at the rescue, taking things slowly whilst you build up a relationship with him.
