Lucía llegó a nosotros en muy mal estado, desnutrida, con una pierna rota de hace mucho tiempo y en las últimas etapas del embarazo. Tan pronto como se dio cuenta al día siguiente de su llegada de que estaba segura y de que todas las personas a su alrededor eran amables, se sintió lo suficientemente segura como para comenzar el parto. Su trabajo de parto no fue fácil y tuvo que ser trasladada de emergencia al centro veterinario SOS Málaga donde se entregaron los bebés vivos restantes y se le retiró el útero infectado. También se le diagnosticó positiva para la enfermedad mediterránea Leishmaniosis y esto debe tratarse primero antes de que se le pueda operar la pierna, pero pronto Lucía tendrá una operación para mejorar su pata trasera derecha. Ella misma no parece importarle demasiado, es muy alegre y ama estar con la gente. Es un alma libre y le encanta pasear por la naturaleza. Lucía realmente es una corredora: es rápida, curiosa y feliz cuando tiene la oportunidad de hacer una aventura, por lo tanto, Lucía busca una casa bien cerrada si es una casa, o un apartamento con jardín. Le encanta estar al aire libre. Lucía tiene la suerte de estar en un hogar de acogida, para experimentar amor y paz. Los paseos son su cosa favorita en el mundo. Prefiere 4-5 paseos cortos (de 10 minutos cada uno) sobre paseos más largos, especialmente debido a su pierna. De hecho, disfruta caminando más rápido: le ayuda a la pierna cuando puede saltar un poco. Camina a toda velocidad con tanta alegría. Al mismo tiempo, Lucía también necesita mucha más descanso - por su pierna, por su trauma pasado, es muy agradecida por momentos de tranquilidad donde no tiene nada que hacer y nadie espera nada de ella. Se acurruca en cada rincón, mueve la cola suavemente y se queda profundamente dormida. Lucía le gusta dormir con una pequeña luz encendida, se asusta un poco con la oscuridad total. Duerme muy tranquilamente sola y luego viene a acurrucarse contigo en tu cama por la mañana. Lucía ama mucho a los niños, cuando ve niños, se mueve, salta y los besa, y luego se calma alrededor de ellos, los acompaña y los abraza. Se comporta como una madre amable también con los niños humanos. Lucía tiene cierto trauma pasado, tiene miedo de ser golpeada con manos moviéndose rápidamente, o con objetos domésticos, como sartenes o mangueras de agua. También tiene miedo de orinar en el jardín y en este momento solo hace sus necesidades durante los paseos, como si tuviera miedo de ser castigada. Lo que no tiene miedo en absoluto es cualquier cosa que el niño del hogar de acogida esté haciendo - puede gritar, lanzar juguetes, correr alrededor y Lucía no tiene miedo de nada relacionado con el niño en absoluto. Lucía sería más feliz en un hogar con otros perros amables y sociables, macho o hembra, sin importar. Es un perro juguetón y social y cuando sus amigos perros están ausentes, es un poco más ansiosa, Lucía depende de otros perros para apoyo. También amaría un hogar donde sus humanos pasen la mayor parte de su tiempo juntos con su perro. Lucía es un perro amable y cariñoso, un alma muy suave, y ha tenido trauma en su vida anterior, ya que cuando te acercas a ella demasiado rápido, demasiado fuerte, se acuesta inmediatamente en el suelo, haciéndose pequeña. Lucía busca un par de manos cuidadoras, quien pasará el resto de su vida con ella, dando paseos juntos en la naturaleza y acurrucándose en la alfombra por las tardes. Lucia arrived to us in a bad state, starved, with broken leg from long time ago, and in the last moments of pregnancy. As soon as she realised by the next day after her arrival, that she is safe and everyone around her is kind, she felt secure enough to start labor. Her labor was not easy and she had to be rushed to the emergency clinic in SOS Malaga where the remaining living babies were delivered and her infected uterus was removed. She was also diagnosed to be positive in the Mediterranean condition Leishmaniosis and that needs to be treated first before her leg can be operated, but soon Lucia will have an operation to improve her back right paw. She doesn't really care about it herself, she is very cheerful and loves to be around people. She is a free soul and loves to wandering around in the nature. Lucia really is a runner—she’s fast, curious, and happy when she has a chance to go for an adventure, so Lucia is looking for a securely fenced home if it’s a house, or an aparment with a garden. She loves being outdoors. Lucia has the luck of being in a foster home, to experience love and peace. Walks are her absolute favorite thing in the world. She prefers 4–5 short walks (10 minutes each) over longer ones, especially because of her leg. She actually enjoys walking faster—it helps her leg when she gets to jump a bit. She power-walks so happily. At the same time, Lucia also needs a lot of rest - for her leg, for her past trauma, she is very thankful for quiet time where she has nothing to do, and noone expects anything from her. She curls up in every corner, waves her tail gently, and falls into the deepest sleep. Lucia likes to sleep with a little light on, she gets a bit scared of total darkness. She sleeps very peacefully alone and then comes to cuddle you in your bed in the morning. Lucia really loves children, when she sees children, she wiggles, jumps and kisses them, and then stays calms around them, accompanies and cuddles them. She behaves like a kind mother also with human children. Lucia does have some past trauma, she is afraid of being beaten with gast moving hands, or with household items, like pans or a water hose. She is also afraid of peeing in the garden and at the moment she only makes her pees during the walks, as if she is afraid of punishment. What she is not afraid of at all, is anything that the child of the foster home is doing - he can shout, throw toys, run around and Lucia is not afraid of anything associated with the child at all. Lucia would be happiest in a home with other kind social dogs, male or female, doesn’t matter. She is a playful, social dog and when her dog friends are gone, she is a bit more anxious, Lucia leans on other dogs for support. She would also love a home where her humans are spending most of their time together with their dog. Lucia is a kind and loving dog, a very soft soul, and she has experienced trauma in her life before, as when you approach her too rapidly, too strongly, she lays on the ground right away, making herself small. Lucia is looking for a pair of caring hands, who will spend the rest of her life with her, taking nice walks together in the nature and cuddling on the carpet in the evenings. Lucia's approximate shoulder height is 49cm.
