Esta hermosa chica fue rescatada originalmente de las calles de Macedonia. Fue adoptada y viajó al Reino Unido hace varios años. Lamentablemente, con el tiempo en su hogar desarrolló reactividad y la familia la devolvió a nosotros. Su ansiedad y la consiguiente reactividad fueron bastante graves y para darle las mejores posibilidades para un nuevo comienzo encontramos un centro de rehabilitación donde estuvo durante varios meses. Hubo mejoras, pero fue cuando fue trasladada al Santuario de Sakima en Blackpool en Poulton le Fylde que realmente comenzó a ganar confianza. El encantador personal del santuario ha trabajado tanto con ella y los resultados son asombrosos: es como un perro diferente. Luna está lista para encontrar su hogar definitivo con alguien que esté comprometido a continuar su entrenamiento y apoyarla. Luna es un Border Collie hermoso, saludable y muy inteligente. Es una buena estudiante que disfruta usar su mente y ama el agility, el entrenamiento de obediencia y largos paseos con las personas a las que confía. Su necesidad de espacio y comprensión es alta y su adoptante debe estar consciente de su reactividad y la importancia del entrenamiento y manejo continuo para seguir su desarrollo positivo. Esta pequeña maravilla es encantadora y una divertida bailarina que camina con pies alegres y orgullo en cada paso. Es entusiasta y salta hacia arriba y parece que quiere mucha atención, pero no es así, simplemente está feliz de verte, un pequeño roce de barbilla y un buen perro es lo que le gusta. No sabe qué hacer con mucha atención física y eso la hace insegura, por lo tanto es importante no sobrecargarla. Es una chica dulce pero necesita alguien con buen sentido común y comprensión. Debido a su pasado necesita tiempo para acostumbrarse a nuevas personas y puede ser un poco cautelosa en nuevos entornos, pero la confianza en sus humanos la ayuda a lidiar con ello. Por eso se necesitarán múltiples encuentros y vínculos antes de llevar a esta maravillosa chica a casa. Le gusta la afectuosa ternura en sus términos, pero no es una cachorrita abrazadora; todo lo contrario, es bastante feliz permaneciendo sola. Luna ha venido muy lejos y su reactividad hacia otros perros ha mejorado enormemente. Ha construido amistad con uno de los otros perros del santuario y le gusta ir de paseo con él. Ahora también hace muy bien los paseos en áreas tranquilas en general y aunque antes tenía miedo al coche, ahora ha aprendido a amar los paseos, sabiendo que es muy divertido explorar nuevos lugares con las personas a las que confía. El hogar ideal para Luna será una familia tranquila y formada solo por adultos, con personas que disfruten paseos en zonas rurales, entrenamiento y actividades como el agility y ejercicios mentales. Con múltiples encuentros y una introducción gradual puede convivir con otro perro, pero el hogar ideal será como un único perro. Esterilizada, vacunada y con microchip.

This gorgeous girl was originally rescued from the streets of Macedonia. She was adopted and travelled to the UK several years ago. Sadly over the years in her home she developed reactivity and the family returned her to us. Her anxiety and resulting reactivity was quite severe and to give her the best possibilities for a new beginning we found a rehab centre where she stayed for several months. There was improvement but it was when she was moved to Sakima’s Sanctuary in Blackpool at Poulton le Fylde that she really began gaining confidence. The lovely staff at the sanctuary have worked so hard with her and the results are amazing – she is like a different dog! Luna is now ready to find her forever home with someone who is dedicated to continue training and supporting her. Luna is a beautiful, healthy and very intelligent Border Collie. She is a clever cookie who really enjoys using her brain and loves agility, obedience training and long walks with the people she trusts. Her need for space and understanding is high and her adopter must be aware of her reactivity and the importance of ongoing training and management to continue her positive development. This bundle of joy is lovely and a funny little tapdancer who walks with happy feet and pride in each step. She is giddy and jumps up and seems like she wants a lot of attention but she does not, she’s just happy to see you, a little chin tickle and a good girl is what she likes. She doesn’t know what to do with lots of physical attention and it makes her insecure, so it is important not to overload her. She is a sweet girl but needs someone with good common sense and understanding. Because of her past she needs time to warm up to new people, and she can be a bit weary in new surroundings, but the trust in her humans helps her cope. Hence multiple meets and bonding will be needed before taking this wonderful girl home. She likes gentle affection on her terms but is not a cuddle bug – on the contrary she is quite happy to be on her own. Luna has come a very long way and her reactivity towards other dogs has improved immensely. She has even built friendship with one of the other dogs at the sanctuary and likes going for walks together with him. She is now also doing really well on walks in quiet areas in general and while she used to be afraid of the car, she has come to love going for drives, knowing that it is so much fun to go to explore new places with the people she trusts. The ideal home for Luna will be a calm, adult only family, with people who will enjoy walks in rural surroundings, training and activities like agility and mental exercises. With multiple meets and gradual introduction she can be with another dog, but the ideal home will be as an only dog. Spayed, vaccinated & microchipped
