Maxim & Lolita fueron traídos a nosotros por Sanidad con microchips, los dieron a su "humano", ya no querían más a sus perros. Al principio cuando llegaron, estaban tan tristes y llorando. Lentamente comenzaron a acostumbrarse a la vida en el refugio, y al menos comenzaron a disfrutar su tiempo en las áreas caninas. Lolita fue adoptada en el transcurso de tiempo, pero Maxim aún espera en el refugio. Después de un año, el estrés de la vida diaria en el refugio lo ha alcanzado: falta de movimiento, falta de sueño, espacios pequeños y nada que hacer, para estos perros activos y inteligentes que son ideales para acompañar a un ser humano. Maxim & Lolita deberían ser hermanos y se llevan muy bien, por lo tanto estarían felices si fueran adoptados juntos, pero al mismo tiempo tendrían vidas felices si fueran adoptados por separado en buenas familias. Creemos que ambos pueden ser perros únicos de la familia, especialmente cuando viven en una casa donde pueden pasar mucho tiempo juntos con su humano. Maxim también ha conocido a otras perras, y podría vivir con otra perra social. Todavía no lo hemos probado con otros machos. Maxim tiene una cola un poco más corta de lo normal, no estamos seguros del todo si nació con una cola más corta o si tuvo un accidente en su vida, sin embargo la cola no le molesta en absoluto. Maxim & Lolita son dos perros tan cariñosos y amigables, pero estresados en el entorno del refugio, lo cual es típico para un pastor. Solo quieren estar afuera, corriendo en el parque y vigilando los perímetros. Ambos son perros fuertes y tiran de la correa al salir del refugio por primera vez cuando están estresados, pero una vez tranquilos en las áreas caninas y han quemado algo de energía, están bien en la correa. Maxim es más cariñoso y siempre camina entre tus piernas. Le encanta que lo acaricien y estar cerca de ti. Mientras que Lolita es más independiente y se mueve también por su cuenta, entonces Maxim siempre mira hacia atrás para asegurarse de que tú también estás allí. Maxim tiene los problemas típicos de un Pastor Alemán con espalda baja y caderas - displasia de cadera y espondilosis, lo que en conjunto parece estar causando un problema de incontinencia para Maxim. Recibe medicación para relajación muscular, manejo del dolor y terapia física, lo cual está ayudando realmente a su movilidad, pero también el terapeuta físico y el veterinario dicen que necesita una casa para mejorar. Tiene que ganar músculo en sus patas traseras, para mejorar su salud. Más no podemos hacer en el entorno del refugio lamentablemente...

Maxim & Lolita were brought to us by Sanidad with microchips, they were given away by their "human", they did not want their dogs anymore. First when they arrived, they were so sad and crying. Slowly they started to get used to the shelter life, and at least they started enjoying their time in the dog parks. Lolita has been adopted in the meantime, but Maxim is still waiting in the shelter. After a year, the stress of the daily shelter life has reached him - lack of movement, lack of sleep, small spaces and nothing to do, for these active, smart dogs who are ideal for accompanying a human. Maxim & Lolita are supposed to be siblings and they are very good together, so they would be happy to be adopted together, but at the same time, they will also have happy lives when adopted separately into good families. We believe that both are able to be single dogs of the family, especially when living in a home where they can spend a lot of time together with their human. Maxim has also met other female dogs, and he could possibly live together with another social female. We have not yet tested him with other males. Maxim has a bit shorter tail than normal, we're not completely sure whether he was born with a shorter tail, or whether he had an accident in his life, however the tail does not bother him at all. Maxim & Lolita are both are such loving and friendly dogs, but stressed in the shelter environment, which is very typical for a shepherd. They just want to be outside, running in the park and guarding the perimeters. They’re both strong dogs and pull on the leash when first going out of the shelter when stressed, but once calmly in the dog parks and they’ve burnt off some energy, they’re good on the lead. Maxim is more cuddly and he always walks through your legs. He loves to be stroked and close next to you. While Lolita is more independant and wonders around also by herself, then Maxim is always looking back to check that you are also still there. Maxim has the typical problems of a German Shephard with low back and hips - hip dysplasia and spondylosis, which all together seems to be creating an incontinence issue for Maxim. He is receiving medication for muscle release, pain management and physiotherapy, which is really helping his mobility, but also the physiotherapist and veterinary say - he needs a home to improve. He has to gain muscles on his back legs, to improve his health. More we cannot do in the shelter environment sadly....
