Maya la Mastín-Mix, junto con Leon, fueron llevados al refugio de una manera muy particular, por personas realmente extrañas. Ambos perros estaban muy sedados, bajo medicamentos, supuestamente pastillas calmantes que la pareja mayor había obtenido de un veterinario. Los perros tuvieron que ser llevados en carros, así de influenciados estaban. Además de que fueron llevados al refugio de una manera incorrecta, las personas luego huyeron, y la única información poco confiable que tenemos es que aparentemente Maya y Leon fueron dejados en la propiedad de su vecino. Ambos son grandes osos polares peludos, que aman estar alrededor de humanos, pero al mismo tiempo también son independientes suficientes para quedarse solos, o hacer su propio negocio en los parques caninos, sin necesidad de compañía constante. Maya es dulce y alegre, y le gusta acercarse a ti para abrazos cada ahora y entonces durante tu tiempo afuera con ella. A pesar de su tamaño, camina muy bien y tranquilamente en la correa, y su presencia es agradable, no abrumadora, como a veces se asocia con perros de este tamaño. Maya y Leon son muy similares en su apariencia, por lo que creemos que están relacionados de alguna manera. Se cuidan mucho mutuamente, se limpian entre sí y juegan juntos, aunque incluso su juego es bastante de baja energía y tranquilo. Mientras que Leon tiene una presencia más dominante, Maya es más sumisa y modesta. Por supuesto sería genial que los dos pudieran mudarse juntos a una casa en el campo, pero no es un requisito absoluto. Maya también está disponible para adopción individual ya sea como el único perro de un hogar, donde podría pasar la mayor parte del tiempo con su humano, o a un hogar con otro perro (en este momento se prefieren machos, ya que Maya aún no ha sido probada con hembras, pero puede ser probada según solicitud). Si hay otro perro en la familia, ella está completamente bien para pasar horas sola, simplemente observando el patio, durmiendo en la hierba. Su altura en los hombros es un poco más de 70 cm, lo que la hace una chica realmente grande, linda y de corazón amable.

Maya the Mastin-Mix, together with Leon, were brought to the shelter in a very particular way, by really strange people. Both of the dogs were heavily sedated, under drugs, apparently calming pills that the older couple had obtained from a veterinary. The dogs had to be wheeled in with carts, that's how heavily under influence they were. Aside from the fact that they were brought to the shelter in a very incorrect manner, the people then ran away, and the only piece of untrustworthy information that we have, is that apparently Maya & Leon were left at their neighbor's property. They are both huge fluffy polar bears, who love to be around humans, but at the same time are also independent enough to stay alone, or do mind their own business in the dog parks, without needing constant companionship. Maya is sweet and cheerful, and she likes to come to you for cuddles every now and then during your time outside with her. Regardless of her size, she walks very nicely and calmly on the leash, and her presence is pleasant, not overwhelming, as sometimes is associated with this size of dogs. Maya and Leon are very similar in their appearance, so we believe they are related in some way. They care a lot for each other, groom each other and play together, though even their play is quite low-energy and calm. While Leon has more of a dominant presence, Maya is more submissive, and modest. Of course it would be great if the two of them could move to a country home together, but it is not an absolute must. Maya is also available for an individual adoption either as an only dog of a home, where she could spend most of the time together with her human, or to a home with another dog (at the moment males preferred, as Maya has not yet been tested with females, but can be tested upon request). If there is another dog in the family, she is totally fine to spend hours alone, just watching the yard, snoozing on the grass. Her shoulder height is a bit over 70cm, making her really a big, lovely, kind-hearted girl.
