Podrick can be quite intense around other dogs due to limited socialisation and doesn’t always read their body language well, so he’s looking for a home where he will be the only pet. However, he would benefit from calm walking buddies to help him continue learning appropriate social skills. He cannot live with cats or small furries. Podrick could live with secondary school-aged children who are confident around large, excitable dogs and understand how to interact respectfully. His ideal family will be patient and committed to ongoing training, particularly around dog interactions, and happy to guide a big, wiggly dog who simply loves saying hello to the world. Podrick is a big, friendly Labrador aged approximately 3–4 years old, bursting with enthusiasm for life and everyone he meets. He’s a confident and excitable boy who thrives on interaction, whether that’s greeting new people, engaging in play, or exploring the world around him. He enjoys treats and interactive toys, and will benefit from a home that can provide regular playtime and positive engagement. Podrick has a medium energy level but brings a lot of personality, so he’s best suited to an active household that appreciates a lively, affectionate companion. While he can be left once settled, any time alone should be built up gradually to help him feel secure.
