Rex podría vivir con niños mayores de 10 años. Podría convivir con otros gatos y busca una casa exclusivamente en interiores. Rex es un joven encantador y dulce que ha crecido mucho en confianza durante su estancia con nosotros. Al principio, tuvo dificultades para adaptarse a su nuevo entorno, lo cual probablemente fue debido a muchas novedades a las que acostumbrarse, pero también porque se sentía mal y tenía los ojos incómodos, algo que no le gustaba que trataran. Los ojos de Rex necesitaron cirugía y ahora que está mucho más cómodo y sus ojos ya no le causan problemas, está mucho más feliz y ha salido completamente de su caparazón mostrándonos su verdadero carácter juguetón. Es un chico cariñoso que ama ser hablado y recibir atención. También ama la hierba gatera y jugar con juguetes de hierba gatera en su cama. Aún puede asustarse con ruidos fuertes y correr hacia el refugio de su espacio seguro, pero ahora se recupera mucho más rápido que cuando llegó por primera vez. Rex ha vivido previamente con otro gato sin problemas y podría hacerlo nuevamente con introducciones lentas y cuidadosas. Este hombre guapo ha sido un verdadero placer conocer durante su tiempo en el refugio. Ha sido muy agradable para nuestro equipo verlo crecer en confianza y convertirse en un chico tan feliz después de su cirugía. ¡Ahora está más que listo para encontrar una familia para siempre que lo adore y le dé todo el amor, atención y tiempo de juego que desea! No tenemos ninguna duda de que este personaje grande será una gran adición divertida y maravillosa a su hogar para siempre. Como se mencionó anteriormente, Rex necesitó cirugía de entropión en su párpado. Aunque la cirugía fue exitosa, cualquier posible adoptante debe tener en cuenta que, si Rex tuviera algún problema futuro con sus ojos, estos probablemente se considerarían una condición preexistente y no estarían cubiertos por el seguro veterinario. Rex could live with children aged 10+. He could potentially live with other cats and is looking for an indoor-only home. Rex is a lovely, sweet young lad who has really grown in confidence during his stay with us. Initially, he had a hard time adjusting to his new environment, which likely would have been as there was lots of new changes to get used to, but also because he was dealing with poorly, uncomfortable eyes that he didn’t love having treated! Rex’s eye required surgery and, now that he is much more comfortable and his eyes aren’t causing him any issues, he is much happier and has really came out of his shell and shown us his true, playful character! He is a loving lad who loves being talked to and having attention. He also loves catnip and kicking catnip toys about in his bed! He can still be spooked by loud noises and will run back to the security of his safe space, but he recovers much more quickly now than when he first arrived. Rex has previously lived with another cat with no issues and so could potentially do so again with slow, careful introductions. This handsome chap has been an absolute pleasure to get to know during his time here at the shelter. It has been so lovely for our team see him grow in confidence and become such a happy boy after his surgery. He is now more than ready to find a forever family who can spoil him rotten and give him all the love, attention and playtime he desires! We have no doubt this big character will make such a fun and wonderful addition to his forever home. As mentioned above, Rex required entropion surgery on his eyelid. Whilst the surgery was a success, any potential rehomers should be aware that, if Rex were to have any future issues with his eyes, these are likely to be classed as a pre-existing condition and won’t be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss this in more detail with any successful applicants.
