Samira es una perra Podenco bella, activa, vivaz y muy cariñosa, que proviene del refugio Pavlevas en el área de Monda/Guaro, el cual necesita cerrar debido a la mala salud de su principal cuidador, y nuestro equipo de refugio está tratando de ayudar a los perros a encontrar un hogar antes de que realmente sea necesario dejarlo por completo... Samira se ha criado en un entorno muy social con otros perros, ya que en Pavlevas los perros viven en un gran grupo juntos, incluso hasta 80 perros en un grupo. Samira ha vivido principalmente al aire libre, por lo tanto todavía necesita acostumbrarse a la vida en interiores una vez que sea adoptada. Le encanta dar paseos con voluntarios y camina correctamente con correa. Aquí en el refugio vive junto con un chico Podenco especial, quien dejará el refugio pronto, y esperamos que Samira no se quede mucho más... A Samira le gustan especialmente los demás perros machos, y aunque también podría vivir con hembras, cuando vive con otras hembras parece preferir ser la reina de la manada. Samira también podría ser un solo perro de la familia, ya que es muy centrada en las personas y absolutamente prefiere pasar tiempo con los humanos, pero tener un amigo canino en casa seguramente la apoyará cuando esté descubriendo una nueva vida y cuando atraviese todas las experiencias de mudarse a un mundo diferente al que ha conocido hasta ahora. Samira no es tímida, aunque tiene un lado muy suave. Cuando se acerca a ti para recibir cariños, se baja al suelo y baja la cabeza. Pero cuando no te ha visto durante un tiempo y está muy contenta de verte, salta a tu alrededor. Samira escucha y aprende bien, por lo tanto también estaríamos seguros de rehacerla a una familia con niños un poco mayores educados en perros. Le interesa la fauna silvestre y le gusta correr detrás de aves, pero no de manera obsesiva, más bien como un ciervo elegante corriendo en un campo. También podría vivir potencialmente en un entorno suburbano o incluso en los márgenes de una ciudad/ pueblo, ya que no tiene miedo y siempre aborda la vida con una actitud positiva, lista para la aventura. La altura de los hombros de Samira es de 52 cm.

Samira is a beautiful active, lively, very affectionate Podenco girl, who is coming from Pavlevas shelter in Monda/Guaro area which needs to shut down due to the poor health of their main caretaker, and our shelter team is trying to help the dogs find a home before the place really needs to be left behind completely.... Samira has been growing up in a VERY dog-social environment as in Pavlevas the dogs live in a huge pack all together, even up to 80 dogs in a group. Samira has been living mostly outdoors, so he still needs to get used to life indoors once he would be adopted. She loves to go for walks with volunteers and walks nicely on the leash. Here in the shelter she lives together with a special Podenco boy, who is leaving the shelter soon, and we hope Samira will not stay too much longer... Samira especially likes other male dogs, and even though she could also live together with females, then living with other females, she seems to prefer to be the queen bee of the group. Samira could also be a single dog of the family, as she is very human-focused and absolutely prefers to spend time with the human, but having a canine friend at home will for sure support her when she is discovering a new life and when she goes through all the experiences of moving to a different world than she has known so far. Samira is not shy, even though she has a very soft side to her. When she approaches you for cuddles, she gets lower to the ground and puts her head down. But when she hasn't seen you for a while, and she is super happy to see you, then she is jumping all around you. Samira listens and learns well, so we would also be confident in rehoming her to a family with a bit older dog-educated children. She is interested in wildlife and likes to run after birds, but not in an obsessed way, more like a graceful deer running on a field. She could also potentially live in a sub-urban environment or even on the edge of a city/town, as she is not fearful, and always approachs life with a positive attitude, ready for adventure! Samira's shoulder height is 52cm.
