Hola... somos Barely y Slate. No somos del tipo que se acercan corriendo y piden atención (al menos no de inmediato). Preferimos un enfoque más suave... un parpadeo lento desde el otro lado de la habitación, un pequeño paso cauteloso hacia adelante, y luego, cuando nos sentimos seguros, el abrazo más grande y cálido que puedas imaginar. Llegamos a rescate con nuestros hermanos después de que nuestros antiguos humanos ya no pudieran cuidarnos. Fue un gran cambio y desde entonces hemos estado tomando las cosas a nuestro propio ritmo. La buena noticia es que tenemos el uno al otro, y eso hace que todo sea un poco menos aterrador. Tenemos aproximadamente 9 meses, lo que significa que ya hemos dejado atrás la caótica etapa de gatitos pequeños (la mayoría de las veces...) pero aún tenemos mucha energía juguetona. Nos encanta golpear juguetes por el suelo, tener alguna que otra "zoomie", y luego acurrucarnos juntos en nuestro cálido y cómodo colchón para una siesta propera. Si hay una manta suave involucrada, aún mejor. Somos extremadamente dulces y muy tiernos una vez que confiamos en ti. Y ese es el punto importante, podemos ser un poco tímidas al principio. Los nuevos lugares y nuevas personas toman un tiempo en acostumbrarse, pero con un ser humano paciente y amable, nuestras personalidades realmente comienzan a brillar. Cuando eso sucede, verás que salen completamente nuestros lados juguetones, cariñosos y un poco tontos. Necesitaremos un hogar tranquilo y comprensivo con alguien que tenga el tiempo y la paciencia para ayudarnos a construir nuestra confianza. A cambio, prometemos un vínculo que se siente verdaderamente especial, el tipo que ganas, no que te apresures. También somos un par perfectamente emparejado: mejores amigos prediseñados, expertos en abrazos y aventureros nocturnos ocasionales. Ya sea que estemos acurrucados juntos o explorando en silencio, vivimos la vida lado a lado. Hi... we’re Barely and Slate.We’re not the type to rush up and demand attention (at least not right away). We prefer a softer approach... a slow blink from across the room, a cautious little step forward, and then, when we feel safe, the biggest, warmest cuddle you could imagine.We came into rescue with our siblings after our previous humans could no longer look after us. It was a big change, and we’ve been taking things at our own pace ever since. The good news? We’ve got each other, and that makes everything a little less scary.We’re about 9 months old, which means we’ve grown out of the tiny kitten chaos (mostly...) but still have plenty of playful energy. We love batting toys across the floor, having the occasional zoomie, and then settling down together in our favourite cosy bed for a proper snooze. If there’s a soft blanket involved, even better.We are incredibly sweet and very cuddly once we trust you. And that’s the important bit, we can be a little shy at first. New places and new people take a bit of getting used to, but with a patient, kind human, our personalities really start to shine. When that happens, you’ll see our playful, affectionate, slightly silly sides come out in full force.We’ll need a calm, understanding home with someone who has the time and patience to help us build our confidence.
