She does not rush life, she moves at her own gentle rhythm, offering her whole heart once she feels safe and settled.Song stands very small for a greyhound and really is not a big girl whatsoever, she is truly diddy. What I love most about Song is that, yes, she is tiny and dainty, but she is bursting with personality, and she certainly is not a dog who fades into the background. You always know when Song is in the room because her presence hums so softly yet so clearly. There is nothing small about her heart or the amount of love and companionship this girl has stored up for her forever humans.I honestly do not know how so much warmth, kindness, and devotion can fit into such a little body. She is one of those dogs who is beautiful inside and out, and she carries herself with such grace that she feels almost like a perfectly written verse. She is a really special girl who is so deserving of a place to call home and a family who will love her endlessly and let her song play on.There is something truly beautiful about the way she bonds with her humans. She gives her love freely, softly, and completely, and whoever she chooses will feel cherished in the purest and most heartfelt way, like being chosen as her favourite lyric. Life with Song will be sweet, peaceful, and full of moments that melt your heart, the kind of love that feels like comfort wrapped around you.Though Song is soft and delicate in her nature, she is also the loveliest mix of calm and cheeky. She is incredibly social, getting along so well with both the staff and her calm greyhound friends, harmonising beautifully with everyone she meets. Whoever is lucky enough to welcome her home will gain a companion whose presence alone is enough to make everything feel perfectly in tune.Song has unfortunately found herself back in our care here at Clarks Farm, and while this is never the ending we hope for, we are determined to help this beautiful girl find the calm, understanding forever home she truly deserves. As Song began settling more into her home, incidents of sleep startle did occur, and it is important for me to be open and honest about this so we can find the perfect setting for her to feel safe and secure. We have not seen any incidents here at the kennels, but this is something that most commonly appears once greyhounds begin to settle into home life and begin to deeply relax. This is something that will need to be managed in the home, and Song will need a quiet, safe space where she can fully unwind without people walking past her while she sleeps, allowing her to rest peacefully in her own gentle rhythm. She will thrive best in a calm, relaxed environment where there is not too much going on around her, somewhere her soft little heart can feel safe and settled. Song must always be left alone while sleeping so she can rest comfortably and peacefully without worry.This is only a very small part of an otherwise truly exceptional girl, and it is important to remember just how wonderful Song was in every other aspect of home life. She was deeply loved by her mum, and the decision to return her was incredibly difficult but ultimately made with Song’s wellbeing at heart. She settled beautifully into the home, was loving, gentle, affectionate, and such an easy companion to have around. She enjoyed her day to day life, loved being out and about, and showed us just how happy and content she could be in the right environment. We know with absolute confidence that Song can thrive again in a home that understands her needs and allows her life to flow at her own peaceful tempo. She really is the sweetest little melody of a dog, and the love she gives is endless.Song is emotionally intelligent, gentle, and incredibly intuitive. This girl does not just brighten a room, she softens it, quietens it, and makes everything feel better, like the perfect calming Song at the end of a long day. There is something so soothing about her presence, as though her whole soul hums with warmth and comfort. Whoever ends up with Song as their best friend will be very lucky indeed, because life with her feels beautifully in tune. Her love is soft, steady, and deeply comforting, the kind that settles quietly into your heart and stays there forever.She has shared her kennel with a few of our calmer boys and has always gotten along beautifully with them, blending in like the perfect harmony in a gentle duet. Song is social, friendly, and clearly enjoys calm canine companionship. Because of this, we feel she would be more than happy sharing her forever home with another calm greyhound, creating her own peaceful little double act. Another greyhound could even help her feel more relaxed and secure when settling into home life again, especially during those quieter moments when she is winding down to rest. That said, Song is also wonderfully independent. She lived happily as an only dog in her previous home and was very content in her own company.
