Cisco tuli Hope For Podencos -keskukseen takaisin vuonna 2019 äidinsä Belle Starin kanssa, joka usko tai ei usko, on täysi Podenco Andaluz - selvästi isän osalta hieman enemmän hikoittavaa! Irene koki hänen olevan huomiotta jäänyt, joten hän päätti lähettää hänet UK:n hoitoperheeseen heinäkuussa samana vuonna, eikä kauan sen jälkeen hänestä otettiin adoptioon. Valitettavasti lapsia kotiin tultua Cisco on vaiennut sopeutuessaan muutoksiin. Koulutuksen ja käyttäytymisen tuen jälkeen tiimi ja adoptioihmiset tekivät vaikean päätöksen siitä, että ympäristön muutos oli liian paljon hänelle ja kaikkein ihmisläheisin toimenpide oli uudelleen asettaa hän oikeaan hoitoperheeseen. Tunsimme, että erikoishoitajamme kanssa tehty uudelleenasettelu antaisi meille todella selkeän kuvan siitä, mitä hänelle tapahtuu ja mitä hän tarvitsee eteenpäin - tämä teki hänelle maailman hyvää ja hän on nyt siirretty hoitoperheeseen, joka voi luoda hänelle samanlaista tilaa. Cisco voi olla pelokas poika, ja meillä on tunteemme mukaan, että koti yksinäisenä koirana tai pienellä rauhallisella koiralla olisi paras vaihtoehto, koska hän kohtaa suuremmat koirat molemmista sukupuolista uhkaavana. Hän ei ole varmasti kaikkien leikkivimmistä koirista, mutta hän on ilahtunut ajamaan mukana minkä tahansa yhteistyökumppanin kanssa puistossa tai turvallisessa kentässä. Hän on kyennyt vahvasti sidotusti ihmisiin molemmissa hoitoperheissä - vaikka hän voi olla hieman hiljempää hoitopapin kanssa, hän on iloinen sylkäissä muiden kanssa kun hän on varma! Hän oli todella kiinnostunut ja rakastava tiimin kanssa, kun he tapasivat hänet hoitoperheessä. Hän on alhainen energiataso, joka rakastaa istumaan sohvalla ja nauttimaan sylkistelyistä! Cisco tarvitsee kotia ilman lapsia tai kissoja, jotta hänen stimulaatiotasonsa pysyy sellaisena kuin me tiedämme sen toimivan parhaiten, tasapainoisena ja hyvin rutiinissa ja ennustettavassa ympäristössä - vaikka hän selviää hyvin Lontoon elämästä. Hän kävelee erinomaisesti kourun alla ja hänen pelot kadottavat hänen kunnianhimonsa aikana, kun hän on varma humanististaan ulkona. Hän on vain niin rakastava ja läheinen poika, että hän haluaa olla ihmisillä ja saada huomiota. Vaikka hän voi jättää hänet useita tunteja kerrallaan. Hän on ruokahalva ja tämä on auttanut merkittävästi koulutuksessa ja sidonnaisuudessa. Cisco on sterilisoitu, rokotettu ja testattu negatiiviseksi kaikista Välimeren taudit. Cisco arrived at the Hope For Podencos centre back in 2019 with his mum Belle Star, who believe it or not is a full Podenco Andaluz - clearly dad a little less paddy! Irene felt he was being overlooked so made the decision to send him to UK foster in July of that year, not long after arriving in foster he was adopted. Sadly with the addition of children arriving in the home, Cisco has struggled to cope with the changes this has brought. After training and behaviour support the team and adopter made the difficult decision that the environment change was just too much for him and the kindest thing we could do was re-home him. We felt a reset with our specialist foster would give us a really clear picture of what is going on for him,and what he needs moving forward - this did him the world of good and he has now been moved to a foster that can re-create this for him. Cisco can be an anxious boy, and we feel that either a home as an only dog, or with a smaller calm dog would work best as he can find larger dogs of either sex intimidating. He is not the most playful dog, but will happily have a run alongside any companion in the garden or secure field. He has been able to really bond with the humans in both foster homes - although he can still be a little more shy with his foster dad he happily cuddles up to all once reassured! He was really curious and affectionate with the team when they met him in foster. He is a low energy dog that just loves to be lounging around on the sofa enjoying cuddles! Cisco needs a home with no children or cats, so that his stimulation levels can remain where we know they work best, nice and level with a very routine and predictable environment - that being said ha handles London life well. He walks beautifully on the lead and his anxieties drop away when he is confident with his human out and about. He is just such a loving and affectionate boy, he wants to be with people and made a fuss of. That being said he can be left for a few hours at a time. He is a foody and this has helped greatly with training and bonding. Cisco is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
