Imperia, kaunis Mastin-nainen, löytyi ilman kylkiväliä ja tuotiin huvilalle Sanidadin toimesta. Kuinka he edes onnistuivat saamaan hänet kiinni tuolloin, on edelleen mysteeri, koska hän tuli meille niin erittäin pelokkaana. Useimmiten koirat tarvitsevat huvilassa melko lyhyen ajan, jotta tunnettaa turvallisuutta ja alkaa ulostua kuoristaan, joillekin riittää muutama päivä, joillekin muutama viikko. Imperialle kesti kuukausia, ennen kuin hän alkoi tunnettaa itsensä varmemmaksi, pystyä oikeampaan asentoon ja pystyä rentoutumaan hieman ihmisten lähellä. Huvilan olosuhteet ja ympäristö ovat erittäin vaikeita hänelle, ja hänen kehityksensä on hidastunut merkittävästi sen vuoksi, että huvilassa ei ole tarpeeksi aikaa tai turvallista tilaa herkille koirille kuten Imperialle. Hän tuntee itsensä hyvin omien koiravälisten kaverien kanssa – enimmäkseen miekkovapaat Podencot, joita hän haluaa pelata, juosta ja kietoutua. Hän luottaa muiden koirien ohjaamiseen ja hän tarvitsee myös muita koiria tulevaisuuden kotinsa kautta. Imperia suosii miehiä paljon enemmän kuin naisia, ja hän rauhoittuu nopeasti eri pienempi-keskikokoisten miesten kanssa, jotka kutsuvat häntä pehmeästi pelaamaan, joten hän voi määrätä nopeuden, millä he oppivat toistensa tuntemista. Imperia tykkää myös suurista miekkokoirista ja kutsuu heitä pelaamaan esteen läpi, mutta hän pelkää heitä, kun ne lähestyvät häntä suoraan ja liian energisesti. Hän liittyy paremmin hyvin pitkäntekijöihin ja miltä hän voi nähdä, jotka eivät yritä koskea häntä ja antavat hänelle tilaa ja aikaa, jonka hän tarvitsee. Imperia etsii kotia luonnon lähellä, hiljaisessa alueessa. Eniten tärkeää hänelle on, että hänellä on yksinkertaiset, selkeät päivittäiset ruuhut, jotka toistuvat jatkuvasti – hän kasvaa varmemmaksi tunnetuissa ympäristöissä ja päivittäisissä ajakohdissa. Hän todennäköisesti pysyy aina hiljaiseksi tyypiksi, joka pelkää vieraita ja uusia tilanteita, mutta uskomme, että turvallisessa ympäristössään, omaan koirapakkoon ja ihmishengelliseen kotiin hän alkaa päästää kuoristaan paljon nopeammin. Hän etsii kokemuksellista kotia, jossa on ollut käytännön kokemusta pelokkaista ja hiljaisista koirista aiemmin, kotia ilman pieniä lapsia, vanhemmat lapset, jotka ovat opastaneet koiria eivät olisi ongelma. Imperia, a beautiful Mastin girl, was found without a chip and brought to the shelter by Sanidad. How they even managed to catch her at that time, remains a mystery, because she arrived to us so incredibly scared. Mostly, it takes dogs quite a short time in the shelter, to feel safe and to start to come out of their shells, some take just a few days, some up to a few weeks. It has taken Imperia months to start feeling more confident, stand up more straight, to be able to relax even a little bit next to humans. The conditions and environment of the shelter are extremely hard of her and her development has greatly been slowed down by the lack of time or safe space in the shelter for sensitive dogs like Imperia. She feels very good around her doggie friends - mostly male easy-going Podencos, who she likes to play, run and cuddle with. She relies on other dogs for orientation and she definitely needs other dogs also in her future home. Imperia likes males much more than females, and settles quite quickly with different smaller-medium size males, who invite her to play in a soft way, so she can lead the speed of getting to know each other. Imperia actually also likes to meet bigger male dogs, and invites them to play through the fence, but then gets scared when they approach her directly, with too much energy. She connects more with very patient and kinds people, who do not try to touch her and give her the space and time she needs. At the same time, Imperia does need a confident human, who will not enforce her insecurity by speaking to her very softly - when she receives clear, confident guidelines from a human, for example on a walk, then she relaxes visibly, and follows the human and the pack. Imperia is looking for a home near the nature, in a quiet area. More than anything, it will be important for her to have simple, clear daily routines, which are repeating constantly - she grows more confident in known surroundings and daily schedules. She will probably always remain a shy girl, who will be scared of strangers and new situations, but we believe that in her safe environment, with her dog and human pack, she will start to come out of her shell much quicker. She is looking for an experienced home who has had hands-on experience with scared & shy dogs before, a home without small children, older dog-educated children would not be a problem. Her shoulder height is 68cm.
