Imperia, une jolie chienne Mastin, a été trouvée sans puce et amenée au refuge par Sanidad. Comment ils ont réussi à la capturer à ce moment-là reste un mystère, car elle est arrivée chez nous très effrayée. En général, les chiens mettent assez peu de temps au refuge pour se sentir en sécurité et commencer à sortir de leur coquille, certains prennent quelques jours, d'autres jusqu'à quelques semaines. Il a fallu des mois à Imperia pour commencer à être plus confiante, à se tenir plus droite, à pouvoir se détendre un peu à côté des humains. Les conditions et l'environnement du refuge sont extrêmement difficiles pour elle et son développement a été grandement ralenti par le manque de temps ou d'espace sûr dans le refuge pour les chiens sensibles comme Imperia. Elle se sent très bien avec ses amis chiens - principalement des Podencos mâles facilement accessibles, qu'elle aime jouer, courir et s'installer avec. Elle dépend d'autres chiens pour s'orienter et a besoin également d'autres chiens dans son futur foyer. Imperia préfère nettement les mâles aux femelles et s'installe assez rapidement avec différents petits-moyens mâles, qui l'invitent à jouer de manière douce, afin qu'elle puisse fixer le rythme de leur connaissance mutuelle. Imperia apprécie aussi de rencontrer des grands chiens mâles et les invite à jouer à travers la clôture, mais elle a peur lorsqu'ils s'approchent d'elle directement, avec trop d'énergie. Elle s'associe davantage à des personnes très patientes et gentilles, qui ne tentent pas de la toucher et lui donnent l'espace et le temps dont elle a besoin. En même temps, Imperia a besoin d'un humain confiant, qui ne renforce pas son insécurité en parlant très doucement - quand elle reçoit des directives claires et confiantes d'un humain, par exemple pendant une promenade, elle se détend visiblement et suit l'humain et le groupe. Imperia cherche un foyer près de la nature, dans une zone paisible. Plus que tout, il sera important pour elle d'avoir des routines quotidiennes simples et claires, qui se répètent constamment - elle devient plus confiante dans des environnements et des horaires connus. Elle restera probablement toujours une jeune fille timide, effrayée par les inconnus et les nouvelles situations, mais nous croyons qu'avec son environnement sécurisant, sa meute canine et humaine, elle commencera à sortir de sa coquille beaucoup plus rapidement. Elle cherche un foyer expérimenté qui a déjà eu une expérience pratique avec des chiens effrayés et timides, un foyer sans jeunes enfants, les enfants plus âgés éduqués sur les chiens ne poseraient pas de problème. La hauteur à l'épaule est de 68 cm.

Imperia, a beautiful Mastin girl, was found without a chip and brought to the shelter by Sanidad. Mostly, it takes dogs quite a short time in the shelter, to feel safe and to start to come out of their shells, some take just a few days, some up to a few weeks. It has taken Imperia months to start feeling more confident, stand up more straight, to be able to relax even a little bit next to humans. The conditions and environment of the shelter are extremely hard of her and her development has greatly been slowed down by the lack of time or safe space in the shelter for sensitive dogs like Imperia. She feels very good around her doggie friends - mostly male easy-going Podencos, who she likes to play, run and cuddle with. She relies on other dogs for orientation and she definitely needs other dogs also in her future home. Imperia likes males much more than females, and settles quite quickly with different smaller-medium size males, who invite her to play in a soft way, so she can lead the speed of getting to know each other. Imperia actually also likes to meet bigger male dogs, and invites them to play through the fence, but then gets scared when they approach her directly, with too much energy. She connects more with very patient and kinds people, who do not try to touch her and give her the space and time she needs. At the same time, Imperia does need a confident human, who will not enforce her insecurity by speaking to her very softly - when she receives clear, confident guidelines from a human, for example on a walk, then she relaxes visibly, and follows the human and the pack. Imperia is looking for a home near the nature, in a quiet area. More than anything, it will be important for her to have simple, clear daily routines, which are repeating constantly - she grows more confident in known surroundings and daily schedules. She will probably always remain a shy girl, who will be scared of strangers and new situations, but we believe that in her safe environment, with her dog and human pack, she will start to come out of her shell much quicker. She is looking for an experienced home who has had hands-on experience with scared & shy dogs before, a home without small children, older dog-educated children would not be a problem. Her shoulder height is 68cm.
