Walter est un jeune garçon très frappant qui cherche une famille intéressée par l'entraînement. Walter serait le chien idéal pour un entraîneur de chiens en herbe ou pour ceux qui recherchent un chien amusant capable de faire presque tout, qu'il s'agisse de traçage humain, de cani X ou simplement d'être un véritable super star ! À seulement 11 mois, Walter apprend encore à naviguer dans le monde. En tant que croisé Berger, il a tendance à explorer le monde avec sa bouche mais apprend à réguler ses tendances excitées ! C'est un jeune homme très sociable et il adore rencontrer de nouvelles personnes. En raison de son caractère bruyant, il recherche un foyer exclusivement composé d'adultes. Walter est également sociable avec d'autres chiens et il est très important pour lui de rencontrer d'autres chiens et d'avoir l'opportunité de se socialiser avec eux. Cependant, Walter peut avoir du mal à réguler son enthousiasme, il apprend donc à se présenter correctement aux autres chiens tout en comprenant que certains chiens ne voudront pas le saluer et à marcher à côté d'autres chiens dans ces situations. Continuer cet entraînement sera crucial pour s'assurer que son "seau social" soit régulièrement rempli ! La maison idéale pour Walter serait celle où il pourrait vivre avec un autre chien joueur ou avoir un accès régulier à d'autres chiens sociables. Pour ses promenades quotidiennes, Walter aurait des difficultés à marcher dans des zones très peuplées de chiens car cela lui serait très frustrant, il cherche donc un foyer capable de lui offrir des itinéraires de promenade peu peuplés au début. Notre équipe comportementale au centre sera présente pour soutenir les futurs adoptants dans l'entraînement continu de Walter avant et après l'adoption. Walter est vraiment un merveilleux garçon et, avec le bon soutien, il deviendra un chien spectaculaire. Walter is a striking young boy that is looking for a family with a keen interest in training. Walter would be the dream dog for an aspiring dog trainer or those looking for a fun dog who can turn his paw to most things, whether that is man trailing, cani X or just being an absolute superstar! At only 11 months old Walter is still learning to navigate the world, being a Shepherd mix Walter tends to explore the world through his mouth but is learning how to regulate his excitable tendencies! He is a very people social boy and loves to meet new people. Due to his boisterous nature he is looking for an adult only home.Walter is equally sociable with other dogs and meeting other dogs and having the opportunity to socialise with them is very important to him. However, Walter can struggle to regulate his excitement, so he is learning how to appropriately introduce himself to other dogs whilst learning some dogs won’t want to greet him and to teach him how to walk past other dogs in these situations. Continuing this training will be crucial to ensure his social bucket is regularly filled! Walter’s ideal home would be one where there is the potential to either live with another playful dog or where he has regular access to other social dogs. For his day to day walks, Walter would struggle to walk in highly dog populated areas as he would find this very frustrating, he is therefore looking for a home who can provide him with low dog populated walking routes initially. Our behavioural team at the centre will be on hand to support potential adopters with Walter’s ongoing training both prior to adoption and post adoption.Walter really is such a fantastic boy and with the right support he will be a showstopping dog.
