Astoria a été trouvée avec son ami chien mâle berger allemand sur le Boulevard de Marbella, tous les deux portant des colliers, tous les deux non castrés. On pense qu'ils appartenaient à un camp de gitans, ou à d'autres types de groupes de personnes voyageurs. Astoria est une fille joyeuse, heureuse, aventureuse et curieuse, et elle adore les gens. Dès qu'elle voit une personne, sa queue ne cesse de remuer. Bien qu'il semble qu'ils n'aient probablement pas été promenés en laisse souvent dans leur vie, Astoria se promène bien en laisse et est réactive à votre rythme et à vos instructions. Son pelage est magnifique et son dos est droit, elle n'a pas de hanches basses, elle se tient et marche bien et ne présente actuellement aucun problème articulaire ou de hanche, qui sont normalement très courants chez les bergers allemands. Astoria a un tempérament aimable et elle est soumise avec son ami mâle Lennart. Ils peuvent être adoptés ensemble ou séparément, et Astoria peut être le seul chien d'un foyer (si un contact avec d'autres chiens est fourni tout au long de sa vie) ou elle peut vivre avec un autre chien mâle, nous n'avons pas encore testé sa réaction avec d'autres femelles, toutefois elle n'a pas eu de problèmes avec les chiens qu'elle croise. Il ne semble pas qu'elle ait été entraînée à s'asseoir ou à se concentrer sur des exercices, des entraînements, donc ce serait formidable si son futur humain investissait du temps et de l'énergie pour lui montrer les joies d'apprendre de nouvelles choses, d'entraîner quelques tours, un peu d'agilité, de l'obéissance. La hauteur de l'épaule d'Astoria est d'environ 61 cm.

Astoria was found with her male German Shepherd friend on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. Astoria is a cheerful, happy, adventurous and curious girl, and she really loves people. As soon as she sees a human, her tail doesn't stop wagging. Even though it seems to us they were probably not walked on leash much in their lives, Astoria walks well on the leash and is responsive to your pace and instructions. Her fur is beautiful and her back is leveled straight, she does not have low hips, she stands and walks well and does not at this point show to have joint or hip issues, which are normally very common for Shepherds. Astoria has a kind nature and she is submissive with her male friend Adolfo. As Adolfo was becoming a bit too dominant with her, and that made Astoria behave in a more hectic manner, then they have been separated in the shelter and we're working with them separately. Around the shelter Astoria is reactive to some dogs passing her buy but at the same time, she is very good in supervised socialisations, and shows positive interest in some specific dogs, so we believe it is a matter of positive socialisation experiences for her, and training to co-exist in a relaxed manner with other dogs passing her, even if the situation might be stressy. Astoria could be either the only dog of a home (if controlled dog contact is provided throughout her life) or she could live together with another balanced, confident male dog. It would be great if her future human would invest some time and effort in showing her the joys of learning new things, training little tricks, a bit of agility, obedience training. Astoria LOVES to jump into the car and get going for an adventure! Her shoulder height is approximately 61cm.
