À peine plus d'un an, cette belle fille cherche un nouveau foyer, sans que ce ne soit de sa faute. Lors de l'arrivée de l'évaluateur, Athena était amicale et excitée mais s'est rapidement apaisée, montrant un bon niveau de calme pour son âge. C'est une jeune femme confiante qui est à l'aise lorsqu'on la manipule partout, y compris les pattes, les oreilles et la bouche, et elle prend les friandises délicatement. Elle connaît son nom et viendra quand on l'appelle, bien que cela puisse être intermittent et nécessiter des travaux supplémentaires. Athena est forte sur la laisse au début mais se détend rapidement en marchant calmement. Elle n'a montré aucune réaction négative à son environnement, restant calme près des voitures et des gens. Elle manifeste de l'intérêt pour les passants mais est heureuse de continuer à marcher. Lorsqu'elle rencontre d'autres chiens, Athena observe silencieusement sans aboyer ou montrer de comportement réactif. Son instinct de prédateur semblait faible ; elle a montré de l'intérêt pour les pigeons pendant l'évaluation mais a choisi de s'en éloigner et de continuer. Évidemment, dans son propre espace/jardin, cela peut être différent. C'est une jeune fille confiante, douce et désireuse de plaire, motivée par la nourriture, ce qui soutiendra son entraînement continu. Athena bénéficiera d'une guidance et d'une structure continues dans son nouveau foyer. Exigences de maison : Une maison expérimentée avec Akita est essentielle. Elle pourrait vivre avec un chien mâle calme et stérilisé, sous réserve d'introductions soigneuses. Actuellement, elle vit avec un petit chien et a montré de bons comportements. A vécu avec des chats mais les poursuit, donc une maison sans amis félin serait meilleure. Engagement nécessaire pour un entraînement continu. Enfants âgés de 12 ans et plus. Athena est une jolie jeune Akita dotée d'un tempérament solide qui s'adaptera bien à la bonne maison.

At just over a year old this beautiful girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. On our assessor’s arrival, Athena was friendly and excitable but settled quickly, showing a good level of composure for her age. She is a confident girl who is comfortable being handled all over, including paws, ears and mouth, and she takes treats gently. She knows her name and will come when called, although this can be intermittent and will need further work. Athena is strong on the lead initially but soon relaxes into a steady walk. She has shown no negative reactions to her environment, remaining calm around traffic and people. She will show interest in passers-by but is happy to continue walking. When encountering other dogs, Athena observes quietly with no barking or reactive behaviour. Her prey drive appeared to be low; she showed interest in pigeons during assessment but chose to disengage and move on. Obviously in her own space / garden this may differ. She is a confident, gentle and willing-to-please girl who is food motivated, which will support her ongoing training. Athena will benefit from continued guidance and structure in her new home. Home requirements: Akita experienced home essential Could live with a calm, neutered male dog, subject to careful introductions. Currently lives with a small dog and has shown good manners. Has lived with cats but does chase them, therefore a home without feline friends would be better. Commitment to ongoing training required. Children aged 12 + Athena is a lovely young Akita with a solid temperament who should settle well into the right home.
