Daffy est un homme plus âgé affectueux qui cherche un canapé pour s'assoupir et un ou deux compagnons humains avec qui passer du temps. Malheureusement, sa famille actuelle cherche un nouveau foyer pour lui car les changements dans les horaires de travail signifient qu'il est maintenant laissé seul pendant une grande partie de la journée et il devient de plus en plus stressé par cela. Daffy est un garçon facile mais son enfance a été troublante et difficile. Il a été sauvé d'une situation de détention de chiens alors qu'il était jeune et était dans un piteux état, affamé. Il s'est ensuite rétabli magnifiquement mais cette expérience précoce de ne pas savoir quand ou si il serait nourri signifie qu'il protège sa nourriture. Sa famille gère cela très efficacement mais sa nouvelle famille devra être attentive autour de la nourriture afin de gérer ce risque de morsure - nous offrirons un soutien d'éducateur canin pour s'assurer que son déménagement vers une nouvelle famille se passe bien. À part la nourriture, Daffy est un chien simple qui n'a qu'un petit promenade, un canapé confortable et quelqu'un présent la plupart du temps. Il adorerait un jardin et une maison calme. Il vit actuellement avec d'autres chiens et est heureux d'être avec eux, il vit également avec des chats donc un chat expérimenté avec des présentations soigneuses fonctionnerait également. Il est propre à l'intérieur, bien qu'il ait des accidents en ce moment en raison du temps qu'il est laissé seul. Daffy sera un chien compagnon merveilleux, il a beaucoup d'amour à donner à quelqu'un et est en bonne santé, malgré son commencement difficile. Il est un chien senior spécial qui mérite beaucoup de caresses et d'amour ! Sadly his current family are looking for a new home for him as changes to work schedules mean he is now left alone for much of the day and he is becoming increasingly stressed by this. Daffy is an easy-going boy but his early life was disturbing and difficult. He was rescued from a dog-hoarding situation as a young dog and was in a terrible, starved state. He has since made an amazing recovery but this early experience of not knowing when or if he would be fed means that he resource-guards food. His family manages this very successfully but his new family will need to be mindful around food in order to manage this bite risk – we will give behaviourist support to ensure his move to a new family goes well. Apart from food, Daffy is a straight-forward dog who just wants a gentle walk, a comfy sofa and someone around most of the time. He would love a garden and a quiet home. He lives with other dogs at the moment and is happy to be with them, he also lives with cats so a dog-savvy cat with careful introductions should also work. He is house-trained, although is having accidents at the moment because of the amount of time he is being left. Daffy will be an amazing companion dog, he has a lot of love to give to someone and is in good health, despite his hard start in life. He is a special senior who deserves lots of pets and love!
